Campbell Brown Suddenly Concerned Over 'Lack of Experience'
NewsBusters ^ | August 30, 2008 | P.J. Gladnick

Can anybody recall Campbell Brown pestering Democrat officials over Barack Obama's lack of not only foreign policy experience but overall experience? I sure can't but here is Brown hectoring McCain Political Director Mike Duhaime about her sudden concern over lack of experience. Here is a transcript of the interrogation but to get the full flavor of Brown's attitude complete with cynical facial expressions, be sure to watch the video (emphasis mine):

“Did Brown lose a beauty contest at somepoint?”

Lose? They wouldn’t even allow her to be in it!

Alma Dale’s father ...

Campbell Brown’s father...

Brown, 64, grew up in Louisiana politics. He was in competition for Louisiana’s top job almost from Day One in Ferriday, as state senator in a sprawling six-parish district.

A closet liberal, an unashamed Democrat, Brown endeared himself to the Louisiana press by forging the reformist “Open Meetings” law during early Senate days.

Brown married into wealth — twice.

He was and is a big-mouthed, name-dropping, country-dropping, restaurant-hopping, party-going Louisiana politician.

Before his retirement from public office, Jim Brown was one of the longest serving public officials in Louisiana’s history. He was first elected to public office in l971 as one of Louisiana’s youngest State Senators.

In 1980, he was elected as Louisiana’s Secretary of State.
He was elected Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance in 1991.

Brown is married to Gladys Solomon, and is the father of three daughters and one son.

Jim is also writing a new book about his six month stay at Oakdale Federal Prison. Readers will find insights about prison life, and Jim will discuss events that took take place in prison he was reluctant to write about while he was still there.

I don’t know how Dan Senor stands her. I can’t imagine coming home to her and her snotty liberal attitude EVERY night. Ugh!

“Team McCain has really brought out the inner bitterness and ugliness of the libs and the media.”

SO TRUE!!! I hope they realize that women outside of their elite circles may not appreciate how they are treating Palin.

NAMES & FACES
Washington Post - October 22, 2003
Even before the president’s budget director parked his motorcycle outside the front door, there was an only- in -Washington feel to the Sunday night sendoff of NBC News White House correspondent Campbell Brown, on her way to New York and “Today” show stardom.

At the buffet at Brown’s home in Adams Morgan , former ambassador Joseph Wilson IV waxed indignant about the perfidies of the senior administration officials who he believes leaked the identity of his CIA-agent wife, Valerie Plame Wilson . Nearby stood various senior administration officials — OMB Director Josh Bolten, White House assistant press secretary Adam Levine and Pentagon flack Kevin Kellems — leaking nothing but social pleasantries to the assembled media and political types, including the New Republic’s literary editor, Leon Wieseltier, GOP media man Russ Schriefer and the Boston Globe’s Anne Kornblut, who arranged the party.

The buzz, though, focused on a shy and attractive blonde who sat nibbling finger sandwiches and discreetly introduced herself only as “Valerie.” Fortunately for all concerned, the Wilsons departed moments before the arrival of Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, Iraq hawk extraordinaire.

Every time they challenge Palin’s credentials its going to remind people that Obama doesn’t have any. None. None. I am not a fan of Campbell Brown, I find her shallow (Today had her on weekend patrol for a reason), but Obama is actually on the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. That's not "none" as far as foreign policy experience.

Unbelievable. I see the “Bash Palin” memo is being followed by just about every “journalist” at “The Most Trusted Name in News”.

She's trying to get that Tim Russert Frowny Face that he used to have when interviewing Republicans. (Of course, there was no bias coming from Mr. Russert.)

Campbell Brown is hoping that she can be next in line when the MTP host job finally gets sorted out. I wonder how many high-heel cracks there are in that glass ceiling.

Hey, Campbell, maybe you should move to Alaska and take an anchor job there. They might actually make decisions based on merit!

On Joe Biden's experience:

If 4 years as a Senator is enough to qualify Baraq Obama (almost 4 years, at least in liberal years), then...

Does Joe Biden have 36 years of experience, or 4 years of experience 9 times? Other than more Meet The Press appearances, Beltway Joe has only a high-tech lynching in his resume.

The media said for weeks that Kathleen Sebelius, Dem Gov of KS was on Obama’s short list.
Nobody batted an eye.
Nobody questioned Sebelius’s qualifications.
Her botched response to the Greensburg tornado was just like
Kathleen Blanco’s to Katrina.
The CNN anchors this morning were furious at the Republican consultants.
It was amazing ,even after factoring in their predictable and expected bias,
to see their furrowed brows and angry and demanding questions.
I do believe our Governor Palin has hit a big, big nerve.
And sent the Democrats into a tizzy.

The message is clear.

It is OK for a man to have little experience and run for high office. It is risky and dangerous for a female to do the same.

Thanks RATs and MSM. I'm sure your misogyny is going to help draw tons of votes to your anointed candidate.

I can remember Campbell Brown first back during Bill Clintons war in Kosovo.

She was so ignorant of the military. My husband laughed because she kept saying we were sending in “batillions”.

Heh, maybe she thought that meant “more than a million”.

LOL! Now that's funny!

I am so offended by last nights CNN braodcast with Campbell Brown and the soft balling CNN does for OBama. When does a news agency who claims no bias get called out for wearing their political persuasion on their sleeves? Campbell’s smugness last night over her beating up of an obviously unprepared McCain staffer is something that I think has turned her into a staffer for Obama. When has she ever grilled an Obama staffer for the same experience question. She never answered his question about Obama’s experience either…she just kept attacking him with a smug smile. She was a beautiful anchor...ugly soul
