Other highlights:
The throw rug on her couch is the skin of a grizzly bear shot by her father, a retired teacher turned "nuisance-control specialist" (varmint hunter for hire) whose pickup truck bears the sticker VEGETARIANOLD INDIAN WORD FOR "BAD HUNTER." (Palin herself is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association; for years, she or her husband caught all the fish or shot all the meat that her family eats.)
At the governor's mansion in Juneau, she got rid of the chef. The NEWSWEEK reporter asked her what working mother in her right mind would dismiss someone whose sole job was to cook for her family. She replied, "I don't want them thinking when I'm done being governor that it's normal to have a chef. It's OK for them to have macaroni and cheese."

VEGETARIANOLD INDIAN WORD FOR “BAD HUNTER.”
ROFLMAO...HAHAHAHAHA, that's my new tagline. I love this woman's family.

Great read! With Evan Thomas in charge of the liberal team of writers, there are a few obligatory hits on her. But she really comes through looking great.
Remarkable, coming from Newsweak.
The fact is, among other things, she’s a great subject for news writers to exploit. Which would you rather read, the adventures of Sarah Palin, bear hunter, or yet another piece of empty Obama worship?

Big surprise...not.

If it really was between Lieberman and Palin, then, I now know what it feels like to dodge a bullet.

Great article! I have a feeling that Jonathan Alter is pouting and giving Mr. Thomas the silent treatment.

Most of it’s a very nice article. She sounds really neat, in fact! We already knew that, of course...

If it really was between Lieberman and Palin, then, I now know what it feels like to dodge a bullet.Yes indeed! I've been spoiled by 8 years of Dick Cheney, but when I think it might have been Lieberman, Palin's not so unpalatable.
To: pissant
(At one Washington think tank, staffers were joking that Palin's best strategy in the debate would be to cede all her time to Biden.) LOL! Wouldn't be hard -- I'd been thinking the biggest challenge in debating Biden would be getting a word in edgewise! ;-)
