All that attention combined with the good vibrations from the base delivered McCain a financial shot in the arm yesterday.
His online haul from the Palin pick: $4.49 million, per a campaign aide.

Now that we have a exciting Ticket, it’s time to get the House and Senate changed over to Republicans too.
Harry & Nancy and their 9% approval rating are not liked by 91% of the people apparently.
Clean ALL the RATS out the House and Senate.
Suggestion:
Contributions to the campaign are great, but they go for salaries, that are probably already budgeted.
An alternative that may have more bang for the buck is to book airline tix and hotel for a battleground state city the weekend before the election. Then wander into campaign headquarters there and help volunteer staff the phone banks to Get Out The Vote in that state.
Your money may be better spent like that.
I’ve been saying that this is not an anti-GOP year. It’s an anti-incumbent year. Since the Dems hold more offices, they are more at risk. What was hurting the GOP’s chances was a lack of excitement among conservatives. That dynamic was changed drastically yesterday.
I gave $150 yesterday and they raised that money in only 6 hours. Impressive, most impressive.

Yes, I have contributed too. And it felt good....for a change. Let’s hope the enthusiasm spreads quickly. It already has, really — and it has only been one day. Just wait until McCain/Palin start going public and ripping up the Marxist libs....cannot wait.
FYI ~~~
I did a search, and the article wasn’t posted. Apparently,
the parenthetic remarks made the difference and the seconds apart of the posts.
Bump!
Excerpt, from Fred Barnes
Democrats also awakened another member of the Republican coalition, an unreliable member: the business community.
It has belatedly come to understand that a Democratic sweep of Congress and the White House would lead to the enactment of "card check," a tactic to avoid the secret ballot in union elections and thus dramatically improve the prospect of success in organizing drives.
The Democratic convention made the hostility of Democrats even clearer. Speech after speech demonized business. Obama credited workers with the productivity gains of recent years, ignoring the more important role of a massive investment in technology. If he knew better, he didn't let on.
So Republicans were beginning to come together, but it was thanks largely to Democratic noisemaking. Republicans weren't on offense. Now, with Sarah Palin's elevation, they are. McCain couldn't mobilize the Republican base, but Palin can.
Indeed, she already has. By 10 P.M. Friday, the day her selection was announced, the McCain campaign had raised $4 million online-- more than six times its previous daily record.

How could McCain and Little Lindsey NOT see the message this new tangible support sends about what conservatives want???
Just made our donation on the secure websitecouldnt do it on the john mccain one. Maximum is $2300 per person, $4600 per couple. Another freeper suggested putting Sarah Palin in the referred by window!
Heres the post from another thread:
According to an email I received from the GOP
"You may already know that I have decided to accept federal matching funds for the final months of this campaign- keeping a campaign promise I made.
But that means that August 31st marks the last day I can accept your primary contribution.
DONATE TO JOHN MCCAIN/SARAH PALIN
Please pass this on to everyone you know."
They aren’t going to know what hit them, and I am LOVIN’ it!
(I also snagged your graphic! ;^) )
If he didn’t know before, I think he has “seen the light” now! LOL!
I just made my first political contribution ever, $25 not a lot to most of you but to me it is a lot.
It’s a new set of brakes pads for my bike.
It’s 300 miles worth of riding the same.
It’s a weeks worth of lunch off of the roach coach.
It’s a new pair of jeans and a T-shirt at Wal Mart.
It’s all I can give for now.
And I’m damn glad I did it.
;)
That’s from our dear late FRiend, GretchenEE .. I’m so glad I was able to salvage it. I think of her every time I see it.
Exactly many of us never gave up and never will!!!!
Oh, I did not know her, but I will think of her now as well. I see that she was a well-loved FReeper. Thanks for sharing that with me.
You are “the” Star you can post anything!
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that we could replace the irreplaceable Dick Cheney but thankfully I was wrong.
