I'm excited about the Palin pick, so much so that I donated to the McCain campaign for the first time yesterday evening.

Keep jamming the media narrative, keep dominating the news cycle, keep them on the defensive...

Sarah is perfect. She also has a degree in journalism, so she knows how to beat them at their own game.

The Dem women's comments in the press only prove that they only want their kind of woman in there--a pro-abortion screeching harpie. What sour grapes.

Moderates like Kristol and his cohorts at The Weekly Standard cannot be any happier about Palin than the RATS are. Right now, the country club Republicans are mollified because she's with their hero, Juan McInsane, but that will fade quickly and she'll soon be as despised as the rest of us conservatives when they figure out she's isn't going to back down on abortion, government spending and oil drilling.

My family is so jazzed about the pick that we’re starting to think Sarah may just be the ticket to take back congress!

During the campaign, I just hope Palin won’t get emotional and tear up or cry. The media wolves are out and waiting to pounce and destroy her.

Unless there’s something really bad that has yet come to light, I don’t think much of anything the left says or does will matter. She appears to be the real thing and not a cheap suit that will fold in a stiff breeze like the left’s candidate. Finally something positive and real in this campaign. Something that isn’t driven by guilt but instead something to value and respect.

A popular woman like Sarah Palin is going to be bullet proof in this campaign. Any attacks against her will backfire and simply bring more supporters to her side.

Palin was my choice from the first time I’d been made aware of her, about 3 months ago.
And as far as “experience” (that totally unexamined cliche) goes, she did more in a few years of elected office, with her mayoralty, her Board position, and her Governorship, than Obama, not to mention lethargic veteran Biden, have done in their combined FORTY. So the experience issue is one they’d be smarter not to throw in her face. They will lose hands-down. ALL they can hope for is “death-by-a-thousand-cuts” from surrogates, plus keeping their fingers crossed as to whether Biden can “win” in debates or match-ups with her. It’s a lost cause for the Dems, now more than ever. They thought their surge would never end, but from here on in, it’s all downhill. And it will be nothing but fun to watch the quickest erosion of popularity any of us have ever witnessed. My only question now is, Paul Newman , Orville Redenbacher, or Jiffy Pop?.( Maybe Paul Newman, just for the irony of it)

She’s perfect. I, too, contributed for the first time. She seals the deal, gutsy move by McCain, and the kind I expected him to make. I can very much identify with THIS woman.

Haven’t heard anything from Pelosi...wonder why that is.

...I donated to the McCain campaign for the first time

Strange days, eh? I find myself seriously considering what I NEVER thought I'd be seriously considering: giving money to McMeMeMe.

And saying words I never thought I'd hear myself saying: "Well-done, Senator McCain."

Now if he can just keep himself from screwing it up... that's the nail-biter.

Thanks for posting this. A lot of us went to bed last night excited about Sarah Palin reviving the conservative cause in America but worried about the attacks this woman and her family are going to have to endure.

She seems to be a tough cookie who won’t back down from a fight. But it’s going to get rough. Very rough. We’re all going to have to stick together as conservatives to help the Republican Party reshape itself.

Sarah Palin is the silver bullet to the socialism presented by Obama/Biden.
The leftists know this and there is great fear amongst them.
Oh Happy Days......................

YOu can't help but feel a bit excited with the selection of Palin as McCain's running-mate. As this election cycle moves towards the convention, McCain has campaigned more towards the side of conservatism. The addition of Palin to the team has boosted my hopes.

Palin may be the future of the Republican Party. She fights corruption, is not afraid to take on her own party when something is amiss, and is a normal person from the population.

Its so refreshing to see a politician run for president who seems more like the people you grew up around. Maybe the dream that every parent has for their child to grow up and become president can return to the mainstream.

My question is will McLame pull her to the left or will she pull him to the right? She’s going to have to be one damn tough lady to stay Conservative.

I’ve been quietly pushing for Sarah Palin since late May. She’s smart, savvy, very well versed on a spectrum of topics and is one of the few politicians today who’s quite comfortable inside her own very resiliant skin.

Sarah sucked all the wind and bounce from Obama’s coronation the day before and has also put $3,000,000 in McCain’s war chest since acccepting the VP slot, a lot of it from PUMAs.

Obama got a sharp kick to the gazzotts yesterday and I don’t think he is going to recover from it any time soon.

Jack.

As my six year old granddaughter would say, "Now that's what I'm talking about!"

From what I recall, she's the mother of five well fed children. No need for pant suits for her.

That John McCain does have a good eye for women.

And talk about eyes. WOW!

There must have been a lot of us who made our first donation yesterday. I sure did. Ordered some McCain-Palin bumper stickers too.

"To steal an old adage of former Secretary of State James Baker .  .  . putting Sarah Palin into a debate with Joe Biden is going to be like throwing Howdy Doody into a knife fight!"

I agree, but not in the way the speaker intended. Palin will eat Biden alive and stack the bones in the shower. IMHO.
