Said Obama spokesman Bill Burton snidely when the news broke: "Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency." So even the Obama campaign knows that McCain will win in November?! That's how I read this!

What you can’t convey is that it took him about five minutes to get out those 2 or 3 sentences, because of all the pauses and uh, uh, uh’s.

What does it say about Barack Obama that he has surrounded himself with these kind of aides? What does it say about Barack Obama that when his operation slips up, he blames his aides?
Whatever happened to "the buck stops here?"
What would happen if the phone rang in an Obama White House at 3 AM with news potentially much more lethal than the naming of a fine lady from Alaska?

Well written piece. I was having this exact discussion with an Obama supporter. Obama's braggadocio from Thursday night:
"If John McCain wants to have a debate about who has the temperament and judgment to serve as commander-in-chief, that's a debate I'm ready to have."
Who knows, maybe Putin and Ahmadinejad and Uncle Hugo will just laugh off "hair trigger" insults.

Does anyone else find it funny that a US Senator who can’t even remember on which committee he serves, who doesn’t even know who his state’s largest trading partner is, who claims that there are 57 states and who thinks that Canada has a President has the temerity to claim that our hot babe VP has zero experience? :)
