Rest in peace, Private Fisher. I salute you.

It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag. Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, Sergeant, USMC

Home to Australia at last Pvt Fisher...Home to a burial with honors and loved ones near...Long gone from the thick jungle which enfolded you until this time of discovery and coming home...

R.I.P. Australia’s son, among the many brave men who fought in various wars to preserve freedom and democracy and to stop fanatical warriors...

May God have Mercy on his soul and may Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him.. Amen

If there's a trip one way, he said,
Into battle grim for me,
Don't let them say when I am dead:
He died to save democracy;
Nor let them say: He fought to free
Enslaved nations, white or brown;
Just print these simple words for me:

He would not let his cobbers down.

“He would not let his cobbers down.”

What else is there? Screw the rest of it, you fight for your buds, those right there with you. You fight so you don’t let them down. There IS nothing else, when it comes down to the nitty gritty!
