Democrat Wexler Smears Sarah Palin as "Nazi Sympathizer" Sympathizer
Friday, August 29, 2008 | Kristinn

Democrat Congressman Robert Wexler of Florida (and Maryland) tonight smeared Republican vice presidential pick Sarah Palin as a Nazi sympathizer sympathizer.

Wexler, who represents a district with a significant Jewish population, threw out the vile charge after a 1999 Associated Press article reported Palin was seen wearing a Pat Buchanan for president button on a visit by Buchanan to Wasilla, Alaska when she was mayor.

Ben Smith at the Politico published Wexler's statement:

John McCain's decision to select a vice presidential running mate that endorsed Pat Buchanan for President in 2000 is a direct affront to all Jewish Americans. Pat Buchanan is a Nazi sympathizer with a uniquely atrocious record on Israel, even going as far as to denounce bringing former Nazi soldiers to justice and praising Adolf Hilter for his "great courage."

At a time when standing up for Israel's right to self-defense has never been more critical, John McCain has failed his first test of leadership and judgment by selecting a running mate who has aligned herself with a leading anti-Israel voice in American politics. It is frightening that John McCain would select someone one heartbeat away from the presidency who supported a man who embodies vitriolic anti-Israel sentiments.

Smith reports Palin denied at the time endorsing Buchanan:

She promptly responded to the story in a letter to the editor, that "the article may have left your readers with the perception that I am endorsing this candidate, as opposed to welcoming his visit to Wasilla. As mayor, I will welcome all the candidates in Wasilla."

Smith adds that the AP reported Palin was "an official of Steve Forbes' campaign that cycle."

Tonight on Hardball, Buchanan said Palin "brigadier for me" in 1996 and that Palin and her husband attended a fundraiser for him.

Smith notes that it doesn't appear Palin donated to Buchanan's campaigns.

The left is going to milk this for all it's worth. Wexler is one of the nastiest pieces of work in the Democratic party. His smear of Palin as a Nazi sympathizer sympathizer is par for the course.

What this makes the Democratic party's own cable news channel, MSNBC, which pays Buchanan to offer his opinions on a daily basis, Wexler doesn't say. Maybe he'll ask Obama to boycott MSNBC like he boycott's Fox.

I really think the DNC is in full panic mode. They didnt see this coming and they know America is going to love Sarah Palin! As a conservative I know I have not been this happy in a long time.

That is really sick.

Just today I called the friend who originally convinced me to support McCain. He brought me to a McCain talk here in New York during the primary and I found McCain to be nothing short of Reaganesque in person ... a quality that never came through the MSM filter until the Saddleback forum.

I told my friend at the time that if McCain showed his Reaganesque side in his VP choice I would donate the max to his campaign. I called him today and said sign me up. He said he was thrilled about the choice of Palin and was receiving similar responses from many others. Oh, and by the way, my friend is Jewish.

Freepers, go to the McCain website right now and donate as much as you can.

In the box labeled “referred by” write “Sarah Palin”.

Let’s see: Wexler belongs to the party that supports Hamas, and doesn’t even live in the district he’s paid to represent. Yeah, he’s believeable.

Wexler is the Florida Congressman that has been caught blatantly lying and cheating about maintaining a residence in his district as required by law.

He is a typical democrat who subscribes to the John Edwards theory of Two Americas.

In his view, everyday people reside in one America and must observe the law.
The other America is where the privileged, the wealthy, and the politicians (like Wexler) live and where the laws do not apply.

Fun to watch the democrits grasping at straws ... hehehe!

This selection has completely taken the obamation speech off the front pages.

Palin has a solid record:

FWIW: VoteMatchQuiz, Palin is a Moderate Populist Conservative.

Wexler is a gumbah with the folks at the Washington Post. They, themselves, are notorious anti-Semites.

We must never forget that the Washington Post helped Jim Webb in his campaign against Senator Allen by trashing Senator Allen's mother for being Jewish in WWII.

That scarfs up a certain type of voter in Virginia who hates Negroes, Catholics and Jews.

In most years they don't vote, but the Post made common cause with them, and Wexler makes common cause with the Post.

Lie down withdogs like that and you wake up with your own NAZI party mange.

This Wexler puke is the worst.

Wexler is a carpetbagger from New York that represents carpetbaggers from New York. Since most are old and Jewish, he’s naturally grasping at straws since it looks like the Nazi angle will play in his district.

Ironically, or perhaps not, Wexler’s district was one of the dumb ones in Palm Beach County in the 2000 election that claimed they were too stupid to handle the butterfly ballot and so thousands of votes were cast for Buchanan.

Wexler is going to be upset about someone when he supports a man who was at least at one time a Muslim and who accepts money from those investigated as terrorists? That makes sense? Hitler is dead but Muslim extremists are a threat today.

Some of the things that Pat Buchanan has said appeal to me very much. He's completely off base on other things, but I'm not ashamed to have voted for him. Knowing that she welcomed him to her town just makes Governor Palin seem even better.

Isn’t Wexler under investigation because he doesn’t reside in his own district?

The lefties seem to be rather upset over the choice, I guess getting outfoxed by someone you are trying to portray as “confused” stings a little.

HA-HA!

They usually do, but Wexler skipped "She's stupid," and "She's crazy," and went straight to "She's a Nazi."

That is just like the kid in "Christmas Story" going straight to the Double Dog Dare.

"Wexler is a STALIN Sympathizer. The LIberals really want to go there"?

Please try to keep in mind that a large number of the members of the democrat party are Socialists. For quite some time they have subscribed to the notion that if you tell a lie often enough, it will be perceived as the truth.

What we are seeing here is an example of someone distorting the truth in hopes that his fellow travlers will repeat it and soon the lie will be perceived as the truth.

Pay no attention to those perverts, no good will come of it.
