Is McCain Throwing The Election? (By Michael Savage)
michaelsavage.com ^ | August 29, 2008 | Michael Savage (Michael Alan Wiener)

Posted on 08/29/2008 5:56:41 PM PDT by Checkers

McCain has thrown the election. It is clear now with his choice for Vice President that he has no desire to win in November. Why else would he chose an inexperienced woman, whose only apparent qualification is that she won a beauty pageant in the 1980s? Why else would he refuse to say Barack Hussein Obama’s middle name? Why else would he run an ad praising Obama and congratulating him for winning the nomination?

If McCain had chosen Mitt Romney, a man with real leadership ability, real charisma, and real experience, he might have stood a chance. He could have made up for his lack of energy in confronting his opponent, his useless pandering to liberals, and his refusal to expose Obama’s leftism and inexperience. Instead he trumped inexperience with more inexperience. Obama, for all his far-left socialism, picked a running mate who is perceived as giving the ticket more experience. McCain, in defiance of all logic, undermined his strong suit by selecting a political neophyte who waters down his key advantage over Obama.

Of course, I can hear the calls already. Mike, you should give her a chance, she’s a real conservative. Mike, he’s just doing this because he knows he has to pander to win. Mike, isn’t it great that he picked a woman. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Picking someone because of their sex instead of their ability is the same kind of affirmative action insanity that the Democrats have shoved down our throats. We don’t want a panderer, we want a president. If he had chosen a woman who was a real nationalist with a real resume, I would have said, “Right on, John.” But McCain has dropped the ball, thrown in the towel, and raised the white flag. And a generation of Americans will pay for his

There is some irony in the fact that Sarah Palin has a Down’s Syndrome child in her family.

"Savage, he’s sooooooo....San Fransisco."

And he certainly doesn't like Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham or Sarah Palin.

Hmmm...

Savage MUST play the role of the fool to get attention and rankings...

Savage is NO fool....he’s very bright and concise in his thinking —— usually!

He is wrong in this case.

Savage is off his meds again.

Who has ever seen this sort of excited, passionate reaction to the selection of a VP nominee? Who ever heard of it being common for the new VP nominee to be compared to and contrasted with the other party’s Presidential nominee? It’s almost as though Palin were the nominee for President, and not VP!

Congrats Mike...Reverse psychology.. Get us so pi$$ed off that we band behind the ticket and turn out an even stronger vote!! You forced us to learn about this ticket while inferring the false way the other side operates.

I would go even further and say McCain has absolved himself of all past sins by choosing Palin. She is a perfect spokesperson and living example of true conservative values that we all lament is lacking in nearly all forms of media. McCain basically gave all of us a voice for our values that cannot just be ignored as usual!

The other side realizes this and will battle like they have never battled before to marginalize her as fast as possible. Sarah will need to make daily comments refuting the latest attacks to keep them from getting ahead of her. Our wholehearted support now is crucial, the time is NOW to stand up for the values we believe in.

I LOVE McCain because of this decision which tells me he really is devoted to this country and wants what is best for all of us!

I think A LOT of people would prefer her at the top of the ticket instead of that other guy, ol' McWhatshisname.

Bad idea, Tokyo. We shouldn’t be a mouthpiece for the GOP, since it doesn’t always do the right thing. Being Independent and Conservative should remain our mantra, free from party influence.

Michael Savage is generally right on the money in terms of his analyses.

Occasionally, like most of us, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, but dives in anyway.

This pick was, in a word, brilliant! The Left will try to pull her apart, but bc she's not a part of the beltway, it's going to be difficult. She's up to the challenge ... the kind of honest heroine who we would like to see clean-up Washington.

Here's a few I pulled too ... be my guest ...;-D

Misery loves company and savage very well could be a closet drug user and nambla member.
Tomorrow he'll invoke Rush Limbaugh's name "again" to get his ratings back up after this BS.
