Sen. John McCain's choice of Alaska governor Sarah Palin as his running mate is a cynical effort to appeal to disappointed Hillary Clinton voters and get them to vote, ultimately, against their own self-interest.
Maybe it is more to insure the Pro Life vote and get the conservative base energized

Only the NOW hags could make the possibility of a woman becoming veep and possibly prez in four years time a negative. Abortion is not only a litmus test, it’s a sacrament to the femi-nazis.

The NAGs are so transparent. It would be amusing if it weren't so pathetic.

I had a conversation last nite with a friend— public school teacher, stereotypical Hillary supporter: bitter, older white woman. Started right in on criticizing/ridiculing Gov. Palin.
I asked her, if you had a former student who had accomplished what Sarah Palin had, and led the kind of family life she leads, would you be proud of her?
She was speechless. That told me she was thinking “yes, I would be very proud” but she couldn’t bring herself to admit it to me.

Like I stated in another thread; Mrs. Palin is not the ‘right kind of woman’...Just like Mr. Thomas was not the ‘right kind of black’.

Apparently Govenor Palin isnt the right type of woman.
Yep.
She's too attractive and not b-tchy.
Thus she certainly doesn't belong in the NOW crowd.
Palin should run a advert thanking NOW for dissing her.
And wear it as a badge of honor!

Funny. NOW has never had anything to say about the plight of
women in the Muslim world.
Mavis Leno (wife of Jay) used to appear a couple of times a year on
KABC, the big talk-radio station in Los Angeles becrying the mistreatment
of women in Taliban-run Afghanistan.
BUT...after Dubya and a few good men (and women) liberated the
women of Afghanistan, Mavis went on "radio silence".
I guess it just burned her hide that this liberation
happened on Dubya's, and NOT on Clinton's, watch.

Strange how that works isn’t it?
Sarah Palin has really got their goat too. LOL!
She’s beautiful, a mom of 5, a governor, enjoys fishing and hunting, conservative, holds a private pilot license, pro-life and religious.
All those EVIL ways the NOW gang has riled against for decades.
