Senator Fred Thompson Praises Senator McCains Vice Presidential Pick
(Nashville) U.S. Senator Fred Thompson issued the following statement:
"I am absolutely delighted by this selection. Once again, John McCain has shown that he is an independent thinker who paints in bold strokes. Sarah Palin is a conservative reformer with executive experience who will bring a breath of fresh air to Washington. She will be an ideal running mate for John McCain, and will make a major contribution to our country's future."

It might be a Hail Mary pass, but when you’ve got Jerry Rice running free, you’re an idiot not to throw it.

Wow!
I really like what I see so far, and thought she did a great job in Ohio with McCain.

I sent in my first one a few weeks ago but never got the Obama tire pressure gauge. Did anyone else get theirs?

It was more like a ‘sideline to Ray Barry’ from the looks of the presstitute spittling reaction! Someone noted that Hillary probably will not have any unbroken china in Chappy with this nomination which will like be the actual first woman veep and quite possibly the first female president ina few years. The poor Rodham rodent, all primed up and nowhere to scurry.

You need to send your brilliant campaign slogan to the McCain/Palin headquarters! I guarantee they’ll use it [with your permission, of course], and it will be our battle cry from now until Nov. Love it!

I will always love Fred Thompson. However, his first television appearance as a politician, I don't know if he was ill or if he expected the same response he got as an actor, but it didn't bode well for him. I just pulled my bumper sticker off my back window a few months ago and still have three more filed away for keepsakes.
And who knows. Fred is a Southern Gentleman. He might pop up as a Cabinet Secretary or in some other position. And when he does, I'll still be in his corner.
