Schumer calls Palin a "Hail Mary" pick

DAYTON _ Sen. Charles Schumer is among the first out of the gates with Democratic reaction to the Sarah Palin selection.

"After the great success of the Democratic convention, the choice of Sarah Palin is surely a Hail Mary pass," Schumer said. "It is a real role of the dice and shows how John McCain, Karl Rove et al realize what a strong position the Obama-Biden team and Democrats in general are in in this election."

The libs must be worried. They’ve gone on the offensive already. :-) I bet the reaction over in the Obamessiah camp was a collective, “Oh sh*t!”

Congresswoman I grant you, but Diane and Barbara can’t hold a leg on “Schmuckie”. First, they have to get past the junior senator of my home state to get to the big leauges of disrepute.

I disagree. If McCain was in a panic, he would have picked Mitt. I think he waited and went with his hunch that the democrats have a loser candidate and that he now has the luxury to go with wild card choice.

I think Dick Morris is going to be doing cart wheels as it was his recommendation weeks ago that McCAin do this.

i am annoyed at the MSM and obama camp that say she has no international experience (never mind the man that they nominated that is not just a hear beat away from the presidency but could be the president with no foreign relations experience) (i’m ignoring his visits to his extended family in kenya, that doesn’t count)

but as a governor of alaska, she shares a border with canada, which is another nation

just like in az, and texas, calif, new mex, the govs have meetings with the mexican govt.

so, this stupid attempt at belittling her is really not true.

My senior Senator is a walking corpse, while my junior Senator once got federal grant money to a "charity" that pays him a healthy salary.

At least Lautenberg can be scared off by fire. Don't know how I can scare Menendez yet.

That means it's a winner, right? I don't know anything about football, but I've heard of the "hail Mary" pass from when Doug Flutie won a big game for BC with a hail Mary pass.

And they did play the music from "Rudy" as people noted.

I think Andrea Mitchell is extremely hungover on MSNBC and after the Palin pick it’s like a funeral over there

Schumer said. "It is a real role of the dice and shows how John McCain, Karl Rove et al realize what a strong position the Obama-Biden team and Democrats in general are in in this election."

Then again does anyone truly know or understand what the "real role of the dice is?"

The die may be simply a tool for liberal incompetents to make random picks, whereas intelligent thinking individuals mull over factors in order to make educated decisions? How will The Honorable Mister Schumer ever know?

chucky should be keeping a low profile, unless of course he is advising the obama campaign on how to help cause a run on a bank and it’s failure

Chuck was a fellow alumni of mine, same HS but different years. He’s big when it comes to talk, but you can bet he’s worried. We needed his help while we lived in NY, he never responded. Most of his voters come from Brooklyn and the boroughs. Their mindset is left leaning for the most part.

Thanks for the link. Very interesting and ironic. I’m very happy to see that these women recognize an accomplished sincere woman, even if she doesn’t share all of their views.

Me too. Really! Just last night I was praying that God would bless us with this pro-life,real woman candidate! Women for Sarah! Real women vote for real women. Not the fem-nazi’s in the democratic party. All they care about is making sure women don’t breed. thank you Lord.
