In addition she has a boatload of charisma. I predict she will draw larger crowds than any of the other three candidates.

I think from this point on....Obama has points to make up and can never recover. I’m guessing he will be lucky to get 18 states via the electoral vote process.

Palin is intelligent, carries debates well, has ethics, liked by 90 percent of Alaskans (even Alaskan Democrats can’t say nothing against her), and is charming in personality. Biden can try to hit hard against her, but it just makes their campaign effort look lousy. McCain has played this like a professional and gotten the best hand possible to win.

Even the persistent rumor of him only serving one term and then retiring...gives us Palin as the 2012 runner up front, and probably the best Republican candidate in twenty years. Even Hillary can’t come back in 2012 and run against Palin.

>>>>>1. Young vibrant female Republican
2. a staunch opponent of abortion rights
3. Executive experience (Gov of Alaska)
4. Gun Rights

Also, Palin is a limited government conservative.

Good choice by McCain.

She needs to get Carrie Underwood onboard. Imagine Carrie Underwood singing the song “All-American Girl” as Sarah Palin is announced at the convention.

Damn, you are brave. I would not have ventured over into the fever-swamp leftist blogs or chat rooms, as they are surprisingly even nore incoherent than usual. There has been only minimal opposition research done on Governor Sarah Palin, so they are all starting from scratch. True, Gov. Palin has probably ripped as much into other Republicans, back in Alaska, as she has faced down corruption from other entities. “Tough” is not an adjective you apply to most women, but she seems to be the very embodiment of what the frontier women once were, as America was being built.

No petty spats for her. Apparently she has chosen her enemies well, and emerged as victorious.

Didn’t somebody give a speech last night, in some arena somewhere? Anybody remember who it was or what it was about?

Don’t hear much about that today in the news.

“This race just got FUN again. Yes, I was going Libertarian, but after listening to her speech, I’m voting Republican again. Palin won me over.”

Me too. I can’t wait to see her on the Sunday talking heads shows. Too bad Russert’s gone.

I agree.

The McCain/Palin ticket is outstanding against the Obama/Biden ticket, and Hilary wont have a candle against her come 2012.

I was watching the announcement on FoxNews, and while I was elated to finally see and hear her, I couldn’t help but notice that Cindy McCain had a white cast on her left arm. I didn’t think too much about that until after some extended applause, and then noticed that it was no longer white, but red.

Anyone have info on what’s going on with that? I’m thinking she injured herself somehow and jostled the injury with the clapping to the point that it started bleeding.

I turned on the TV last night and saw some nancy boy metrosexual prancing about behind a podium with a back drop that looked like some sort of gay Greek themed porno movie. Is that what you saw, too?

NOW I will support McCain....I'm keeping track of the number of times I hear that. You're the fourth person that's said that very thing, since the announcement.
