Palin Pick Causes 'Elation' among Evangelical Leaders
cbn ^

Wow. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is John McCain's pick for Vice-President. Folks, this is s close to a game changer as you can get.

Let me give you some instant reaction. I can tell you that The Brody File has been talking to multiple sources in the conservative Evangelical community and the reaction has been EXTREMELY POSITIVE. As a matter of fact, I am told that when conservative leaders heard the news this morning at a meeting at the Council for National Policy, one attendee told me that there is "nothing but elation. People are giddy. They are energized and they now believe that in fact this campaign has the ability to win this election."

This election will have a significant effect on the very survival of this country so I applaud Palin for her dedication to her country and I have no doubt she will be there for her baby as well-the baby will live and travel with her and has a father and 4 siblings and is in good hands and loved. Why can’t a dad be stay-at-home if need be? You’re being a bit absurd.

Yes, she has a down’s syndrome baby. She also has a husband who is loving and supportive of her and the newborn with special-needs.

If Sarah were the father, and Todd the mother, would you have the same gripe? And why do you believe you are more qualified to make this decision for her than she and her husband are?

I’m sorry, but I have to disagree that she cannot be VP and still be mother to her children. That is a decision she and her husband have to face - one in which they have already said they could surmount. In fact, being governor of Alaska during the gestation and after the birth of Trig (the down’s syndrome boy) has already demonstrated she can balance the two.

Finally, I would encourage you to tell me who you believe brings more to the ticket, the party, and the nation as McCain’s VP selection. I don’t believe there is anyone who comes close.

It’s a funny thing about the RomneyBots...

They seem to forget that it was Romney who busted the glass ceiling for women...

At least that is what he was boasting back in 1994...

I just know Romney is thrilled about a woman VP...

My wife is not yet a citizen. She has a green card.

Even she is extremely excited that Palin will be the VP just because of her gender. She knows nothing of Palins politics, but once she found out she has 5 kids...and saw her picture.... she fell in love with the idea. Wishes she could vote.

Barak is in deep kaka.

Not to worry about her maternal duties. We all know it takes a village to raise a child.

Madam, with all due respect and as a mother of three beautiful girls I disagree. As a mother, I look to the future of my children and grandchildren. Were I offered (and could meet the challenge) a role in securing the future of my children and grandchildren, I would not hesitate. Mothers, through time, have been called in different capacities to fulfill roles that would benefit their families, communities, and yes even their countries. Many have done so with dignity and success and at the same time raised wonderful, healthy, children who had a sense of responsibility to country and mankind set by their mother’s own actions. I see it in the workforce everyday and having played both roles in my lifetime - stay at home mom and career mom - there is benefit to the growth of our children in both.

America needs it's OWN Golda Meir or Margret Thatcher!

Wow, roger that! I was driving to the dentist's today with an excruciating abscess in my jaw, listening to Palin's speech on Rush and cheering! Out-STANDING!

I was going to reply to Raineygoodyear but “This account has been banned or suspended.”

Was that FR imposed or self inflicted?

In any case, here is my two cents. (Too bad Raineygoodyear can’t or chose not to respond anymore).

I think it is a brilliant choice.

Yes, being a mother is a very big job and a very important job but it’s just as and no less important a job than being a father. And just as some exceptional men answer to a calling to an even higher purpose, so can some exceptional women.

To say that Sarah Palin can’t be a good wife and a good mother and still serve her country is to say that men who answer the same call of duty are in turn neglectful husbands and fathers.

My prayers also were answered. Look at my tag-line—I had no doubts about Hillary and Palin.

And a card-carrying NRA member at that!

Hey, if I were living in the days of Edgar Allan Poe, I would be ‘fly voting,’ too.

I will never vote for a president if the best thing he ever did was select a decent VP candidate. McCain is still a far-left social-democratist and I am still voting for Chuck Baldwin.

Maybe we should looking out for Bidencide...and not necessarily from the Hillary camp. The only way Obama can throw BIDEN under the bus at this point is to literally THROW him under a moving bus.

From his part of town its probably a very likely prospect. But Clinton's have much more experience in this area also, then Obamamaniacs

I heard that her classmates call her ‘Sarah the Barracuda’ because of the way she handled her opponents.

Tell you what: I will probably have to replace my weak fish symbol with a BARACCUDA logo. What do you think?

WOW....she did great. She is a heck of a lot more real and sincere than Michelle! I think she did fabulous and will do great against Biden and any world leader.
