The American people need to see the peril that environmentalism has placed on our nations security. The message needs to be clear and done by someone that is dramatic and has that interest factor that will keep people listening.
Sarah Palin will have that appeal to draw people to the TV to hear her message. All of those fearful mothers worried about whether they can afford getting to work and picking up children from those important after school activities will be looking to Sarahs words about gas prices. Single women fearful about having to ride a bus full of wierdos will also be looking to Sarahs words. Wives worried about their husbands business with increased gas costs will also listen.
The Democrats have had their chance to fix the energy situation with their control of Congress. Now the Republicans, with someone like Sarah Palin, can hit the ball out of the park!
“She WILL get Hillary voters.”
Well she needs to be herself and they shouldn’t have her going out of her way to get pumas...
Scramble the planes :-)
“...or maybe Woof, Meow - the Evil One is a major woofer!”

What’s that growl, when a dog won’t let go of a stick, when you’re in a spirited game of fetch?
Grrrr..rrrr...rrrr....Raaarrr...rrrr...rrrr! :)
I sure hope McCain has taken notice of the genuine excitement among Republicans at the prospect of Palin.
Mitt freely admitted that he was going to Ohio today, per Greta on FNC tonight.
Palin? Not so much.
Maybe McCain will make Romney and Palin arm wrestle, and the winner gets the spot.
An excellent point. I'll say this much for McCain and his team: they smeared on the warpaint, used the terrain to their advantage, and have been stalking their prey with expert skill. For as invincible and relaxed as the media is trying to portray Obama, he's clearly getting rattled. Obama, for his part, really seems to be caught flat-footed most of the time, which is not what I was expecting.
McCain is bringing his A game, and it's starting to generate some real fear in the other camp. It's a little surprising to see a 72 year old politician "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" to such an extent, but if nothing else, it just shows he's found him some top notch advisors.
I have a son with Downs as well, and yes, I did cry when I read the Wikipedia about Sarah, as I have said those very exact words while looking at my own son. He is a true joy, and her KNOWING he had Downs and carrying him to term is a testament to her true and deep belief in the sanctity of life. I hope Sarah is the VP pick for McCain - I PRAY she is..
Just stop it. ;^) I am getting way too excited about this possibility and do not want my hopes dashed when I turn on the TV tomorrow—er—later today.
Could it be?? I need to go to bed!
I actually do see Mitt Romney (along with other former GOP Presidential candidates and/or VP candidates) possibly taking a cabinet position in a McCain administration.
Makes you wonder if they are all flying in to simply endorse the VP pick and show party unity from the beginning, or if some may play a bigger part in the story. Romney would make a good Chief of Staff and perhaps be helpful to the campaign being named to that spot now.
That truly wouldn’t be a fair fight. How about having both Palin and Romney have a staring-at-each-other contest where the first person to laugh loses.
you mean you’re not watching the live feed on cnn of palin’s house? (joke) there is no live feed, msm doesn’t care, they have anointed barry
She has everything we want except being from a big or swing state:
1. She is NOT a legislator. We have a history of NOT electing members of Congress to the presidency and the Dims put up two Beltway guys claiming change.
2. She is a woman to attract the PUMAs.
3. She will energize the base being pro-life, pro-second ammendment etc.
4. She is great on US energy sources and as someone said, that is the key issue of this election.
you’re talking about an expert parliamentarian with a lot of military friends. I would expect him to know how to maneuver...you’d have to go back to LBJ to find another person with similar experience.
I agree, I though possibly it was a show of unity in contrast to the Dims.
There’s a bunch of information on that particular plane and all the flights it’s made over the last day or two posted on FR now. It’s too late for me to look through it all!
In any case, the plane in question left Alaska on Thursday at noonish (their time) and got to Ohio after 10pm Eastern. It had made some other flights in the past few days.
he would be a great press secretary
Romney is way down on Intrade, Pawlenty way up. Palin is also up somewhat, from a low base. Still some money to be made if you believe in Palin.
Just as long as Mitt doesn’t have to wear a dress. (rim shot)
