The New Second Baptist Church was conducting a Fish Fry in their Parking Lot on Friday Night.

Mid Freep 9 fire trucks (pumpers and Hook & Ladders), 2 police cars and 2 meat wagons went roaring by.

I have no information as to the cause for the alarm.

We have no picture of “Legs” Trooprally but he relates the following.
I was standing on the northwest corner, doing my patriotic duty, when a car stopped at the light. A lady (50ish) was in the passenger seat saying something to me. The limp leftists usually do that, something about no back bone to speak up.
So not knowing all of what she said, I responded that we’ve freed 25 million people in Iraq and Afghanistan. That our troops are winning the War on Terror. We need to support them and their mission.
She responded by saying what can we do, we have to vote democrat.
My answer, I don’t.
You don’t vote democrat? she asked.
Nope, I vote Republican.
Her answer as the car finally got the green light and started to drive on: “Ohhh Myyyy GOD” That is my chuckle of the night and I’m sticking to it.

Return of our heroes from a night out with family.

Special hat tip to Officer Friendly who stopped traffic so the bus could turn left.

We'll be back out at Walter Reed Friday night, August 28th, from 6:30 until at least 9:30 at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, NW in Washington, D.C. The wounded warriors inside the hospital are heartened by the sight of ordinary citizens cheering for them and displaying our thanks for the service and sacrifice they've made on our behalf.

A couple hours this Friday night is very little to give compared to what they've contributed!
