Somebody must have shoved a Duracell battery up Carters ass (ò¿ó)
This crackpot keeps going and going and going. (ó¿ò)
Stop already! (ô¿ô)
Dubbed the "killer rabbit" attack by the media, the Jimmy Carter rabbit incident involved a swamp rabbit that caught press imagination after furiously trying to board then-U.S. President Jimmy Carter's fishing boat on April 20, 1979.
Carter had gone on a solo fishing expedition in his hometown of Plains, Georgia when the rabbit approached his boat, "hissing menacingly, its teeth flashing and nostrils flared and making straight for the president", trying desperately to enter the boat, causing Carter to flail at the swimming creature with the oars from his boat.
Upon returning to his office, Carter found his staff disbelieving of his story, insisting that rabbits couldn't swim, or that they would never approach a person threateningly. However, it was later confirmed that a White House photographer had in fact captured the incident on-camera.
SAVE
So Jimmy, what you got to milk? 444 Days of Americans in Iranian prisons?
This man Dick Stratton was a real hero. They all were, but this man was my example of someone I would emulate in life:
One of my To-Do's in life was to meet Admiral Stockdale, shake his hand and say thank you. Sadly, he died of Alzheimer's a few years back. I wish I had a chance to do that.
My dad was career Navy, and because we lived in Japan and the Philippines from 1967 to 1971, they had socialized with many of these men. My friends and I talked about these men, knew their names, wore the wristbands, and when I lived near Andrews AFB in 1973, had the privilege of seeing in person many of them fly in there. ( I lived in a small Naval Communications Base just a few miles from Andrews)
When I joined the Navy myself, I actually served under McCain for three or four months in the training squadron at Cecil Field in Florida, and when I went to the Fleet, I was assigned to the VA-46 Clansmen, which...just happened to be the squadron McCain was flying in when his plane was hit by that rocket on the USS Forrestal. I guess he transferred to another squadron and was shot down flying with them.
I have nothing but respect for his service and his trials as a POW. I detested his sponsorship with McCain-Feingold, and his stance on immigration as his party politics turned me off. I only plan to vote for him because I think Obama would do more damage than this man:
Anyway, thanks for posting this great and informative text.
LOL...I meant to say “IF I COULD I would emulate him in life...”
LOL — “ROW AWAY, ROW AWAY”!!! (thinking of Monty Python)
I read about it a few years back, and you’re right - it never gets old! However, your comment about it being Carter’s biggest naval battle was just so appropriate! :)
A good friend of mine, who is a retired submariner, told me that Carter actually served on his boat, but was so detested by the other crewmen, that he was removed from that duty.
It is an embarassment to me that this man wore the same uniform I did. He is despicable.
I thought he only lusted in his heart.
Yeah and how much footage did we see of this jackass picking peanuts?

I don’t recall which graphic was posted...can you describe it so I don’t post it again (I don’t even recall what I posted there)
You guys do a fine job, and I don’t want to make it more difficult for you...)
