As if a Rocky Mountain coronation were not lofty enough, Barack Obama will aim for Mount Olympus when he accepts his party's nomination atop an enormous, Greek-columned stage - built by the same cheesy set team that put together Britney Spears' last tour...
..."We've done Britney's sets and a whole bunch of rock shows, but this was far more elaborate and complicated and we had to do it in far less time," said Allen, of RDA Entertainment... ...Asked who is harder to sat isfy - the Democrats or Britney - Allen replied: "I better not answer that."

It will be a Nurenberg rally..
Hopefully, Obama’s drummer doesn’t explode.
“Hopefully, Obamas drummer doesnt explode.”
or die in a bizare gardening accident.
Not to mention the United Nations “blue” that seems to be one of his favorite colors.
Yall seen this new McCain ad?

Thanks for linking that. Another extremely effective commercial by the McCain campaign. Whoever is doing the McCain ads is hitting home runs almost every single time. The fact that they are using other democrats to do so is even better.
I keep reminding myself that, even though BHO has a stupendous fortune in campaign donations that dwarfs McCain's, McCain always has the Bud stash to "tap" if he needs to ... I'm sure Cindy would be happy to contribute part of her fortune. And it wouldn't later dissolve into resentment about paybacks ......... ;)
Speaking of her, our potential new First Lady meeting this week with refugee children in Georgia ~~ she's sincerely always been involved in the cause of children in need. AND SHE DOESN'T WHINE!
"McCain is traveling with the U.N.'s World Food Programme, whose work she monitored in Southeast Asia and Africa this spring and summer. McCain plans to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and to visit wounded Georgian soldiers. She would also visit representatives of the HALO Trust, which works to remove land mines and on whose board she serves."
Spinal Tap and the leprechauns, you’re right! It works.
May be a company name but “decco” is the decoration department in the convention business. (Wife used to set up conventions in ‘Vegas)
I agree. That new ad is another great one, McCain’s team is more clever and ready than Bambi’s is—by far. We have so much more to work with though and it is all true, they have nothing on McCain except that he is successful and owns houses—big deal.
It’s a fantastic ad. McCain’s had some very good ads which, I have to say, is a nice change of pace for a Republican!

Economy Rebounds Thanks To Rebates, Exports Growth At Fastest Pace In Nearly Year
The economy shifted to a higher gear in the spring, growing at its fastest pace in nearly a year as foreign buyers snapped up U.S. exports and tax rebates spurred shoppers at home.
The Commerce Department reported Thursday that gross domestic product, or GDP, increased at a 3.3 percent annual rate in the April-June quarter.
The revised reading was much better than the government's initial estimate of a 1.9 percent pace and exceeded economists' expectations for a 2.7 percent growth rate.

I think Obama's people forgot something for tonight's extravaganza .... where's the statues of the vaunted and illustrious intellectual, Obama, on either side of the stairway, heralding his entrance?
Now that you mentioned it, I guess it does look like the Structure store that I remember in the mall.
How many people will trip, going up those stairs ? LOL
Actually, there is a nudie bar a block off the ‘Vegas strip that looks eerily similar...
They certainly are trying to out-do the set President Bush used in 2004. When he was already President, by the way.
I love ionic.
Yeah, huh? And who will be out of breath?
Great ad!
