Joe Scarborough and the rest of the Morning Joe crew actually had my sympathy this morning. Amidst all the infighting at MSNBC, including demands for Joe's head in Olbermann-friendly circles, one could sense that the panel was on its best behavior. During the opening hour, a subdued David Shuster—who had openly fought with Joe just two days ago—was there, but just barely. Scarborough himself could not have been more enthusiastic in his praise for yesterday's DNC proceedings, from Bill's speech to the historic fact of the nomination of an African-American.
But if my impulse is to cut the Morning Joe folks some slack today, I have to draw the line at the whopper Joe got off at 6:45 AM, in which he claimed that Biden's presence on the ticket will help reassure gun owners that Obama won't take their weapons.

Let's hear what Joe had to say, then compare it with Biden's record on gun ownership. As you'll see, the contrast couldn't be more stark.

Yep—just picking out a tie this morning when I heard that. At first, I thought I mis-heard what Joe said, but then I realized that I hadn’t.
You can become a felon by spitting on the sidewalk in this day and age (remember, Martha Stewart is a felon!!!).
Joe Biden wants to create a national database of "felons" so's the states can keep track of all the felon murderers, rapists and "littering and creatin' a nuisance" guys.
Oh, and they can take away your guns if you're a "felon".

So far it has been more of a Clinton promotion. The moaning over disrespecting Hillary just made think of ghetto types demanding respect. She lost, and lack of respect had nothing to do with it. She came across as bug eyed and shrill and avoided questions. Playing the victim card can take you only so far.
Hillary, Obama, and McCain are unfit for the White House and a danger to this country.
He will. They can rest assured that if he and Obama get in the White House their right to own and possess a firmarm is gone, along with the rest of their rights.
It surprised me also. Then I remembered that both Clintons have their desciples do their dirty work while they stand aroung grinning and say that they don’t know anything about what is going on.
From watching the Clintons since he was President I do know that it has been Hillary’s lifelong ambition to be President. I also know that the talk of her being the nominee in 2012 is just that, talk. It will be at least 2016 and by that time she will be too old to enjoy the fruits of her plunder.
I , at this point in time , do not understand why she rolled over so easy. It could have been that the media heads informed her that they would start printing the dirt that is on both Clintons if she made a scene.

He used to lean conservative; now it looks like he's doing what he has to do to get invitations on the DC cocktail party circuit!
They know that most politicians will lie to them, so they react accordingly. They look at what they say, not what they do. The MSM can say anything they want, but none of the voters concerned with gun rights will vote for anyone but McCain. When it comes to gun rights he's really the only choice. What 'in the tank for Obama' talking heads have to say is totally irrelevant to their decision making.
I don’ know what it is but there is something big going on behind the scene involving the Clintons.
