Niederauer was a bad appointment, I’m afraid. For the most part, newly appointed bishops have been big improvements over their predecessors, but he seems to have been a sorry exception.
Perhaps Pope Benedict will give him a call and tell him to get to it — instructing Pelosi, that is. LOL!
