Got a song you want us to play?
hmmm, let’s see...does it have to be Southern Rock? Other than Skynard (who I love) I don’t know of any other Southern Rock songs. :)
Hi amom (((Hugs)))

One of the benefits of being my age is having seen some of the greatest bands to ever play.
Willie Nelson must've been great! Does he put on a good show?

::grin:: Makes me want to blow off housework and go out for a drive with the windows down and the music blaring.
Thanks wardaddy(((Hugs)))
I saw Willie Nelson a few years back at a very small venue; maybe 200 people or so. Great show. Bobbie was there, and he and the rest of the band (including Paul English) are still very good and he plays a lot of songs.
The problem with seeing someone like Willie in concert is that he has so many excellent songs, he can't possibly play them all, and you somehow leave disappointed that you didn't hear that one song that you wanted.
Up on Cripple Creek is one of only two nationally released songs that make mention of Lake Charles, LA (the area where I am from). The only other that I know of is Steve Earle’s Intercontinental Trailways Blues which also mentions the town next door, Sulphur, LA (where I was born).
There may be other songs, but I don’t know about them—which, honestly, probably isn’t saying much.

Several of the current models have it tracking to my doorstep, but I have hopes it will veer further east towards New Orleans. Now that we have a real governor, though, the storm won’t be the unending disaster that Katrina and Rita were.
I’m in the heel side of the Louisiana boot and far enough inland that we generally only have to worry about wind damage from the big storms.
Good,I know you’ll keep and eye out.Gotta run home.(((Hugs)))
Hi, Fatima. Creedence rocks!
Wow, almost 2 million views.
Stevie Ray was a Texas treasure. As this vid shows, he was an amazingly talented guitarist.
Thanks!
I don't know if I'll be checking in in the mornings for a while. They're putting a new network together at work and everyone's getting their own IDs and passwords.
And that concerns me another way: if we're logged in, they can track where we're going during work. Now, lots of folks are visiting places other than educational sites (for example, many shoes have been purchased from the UFT center ... and obviously not by me).
So I might be laying low for a while at school until I have a better idea what's going on.
