DEFIANT Hillary Clinton loyalists marched through Denver today to vent anger at the outcome of the bitter Democratic primary race in a final show of support for their beaten idol.
Just hours before Senator Clinton was to address Democrats in a speech that party officials hope will heal the schism caused by the nominating battle, more than 1000 supporters of the former first lady paid vocal tribute to her campaign.
Despite the calls for a unified front heading into November's presidential election, it is clear that some of Senator Clinton's supporters will never be able to forgive Barack Obama for his hard-fought victory.
"We're here to say thank you to Hillary and to protest the fraud perpetrated on us by the Democratic National Committee," said Geoff Clunas, 51, of Seattle.
"It wasn't a contest, it was a foregone conclusion. They (the DNC leadership) just decided that Barack Obama was going to win."
Mr Clunas, a life-long Democrat, said he would boycott this year's election because of the perceived unfairness of Senator Clinton's defeat.
"It's going to be the first time since 1976 that I haven't voted. I just don't trust Obama. I think he'll do more harm than good."
Laurie Long, a 49-year-old human resources director for a Los Angeles non-profit organisation, said she felt betrayed by the leadership of the Democratic Party and did not trust Senator Obama.

Gloria Allread, a Hillary delegate, wore a gag at a meeting this morning [ok] ... and they made a lot of Hillary supports stand outside with the signs.
Leadership?!?!? BWAHAHAHAHAHA.
49 years old and she's that naive? To quote Gordon Gekko: you're walkin' around blind without a cane, pal.
The larger lesson is the democrats are interested only in outcome and not fairplay or fair process.
They will rig elections or in this case, cancel a vote, just to get the result they want.
And, tomorrow, Bill the Communicator, a very angry Democrat, Impeached, ‘Black’, ex-President of the United States, get’s his turn to speak.
Hussein’s only seen the beginning of the disaster this convention is becoming for him. You pick Biden and you DROP IN THE POLLS BEFORE THE CONVENTION STARTS? Then you have the Hillary speech, and PUMA democrats having tacos with the RNC in a Denver bar during Angela Davis’ speech?
Now the Ayers files are out in the middle of the convention. Biden already screwed up and called him ‘Barack America’ yesterday.
My mom’s all for Hillary. She watched the speech she made and felt disappointed she isn’t nominated and feels she was swindled out of the nomination.
I asked her if she was going to vote for Barack, as a result of the speech and she said “I might...I don’t know. I don’t really like him, I wanted her.”
She is thinking of either not voting or actually voting for McCain just so he isn’t elected.
I wonder how many more Democrats feel this way?
Disgruntled, morose, betrayed .... excellent.
Now if McCain will do the smart thing and pick a strong conservative woman for VP who can actually lead the nation if he doesn't make it through his term then the Republicans may just be able to pull in many of these disappointed female Democrats. (Sounds like a plan to me.)
I’m not really sure that is possible. I think these women have a long term relationship with Hillary, it’s particularly her. I don’t think they can replace her. It’s not just a ‘woman’ thing, it’s partly because she was there in the White House once before, suffered under the embarrassment of infidelity and then rose up (in their eyes) to the ability to run for the same office and be the vindicated women, winning the approval of her husband through her political prowess.
Also, I wouldn’t put it past the dems if John McCain has a vp who is a woman and is attractive that he is having an affair with her.
Anyone who would support either Klintoon has something wrong with tehm.
But these Cintonistas must be encouraged. Weren’t some of tehm talkign about getting Hitlery on some ballots as an Independent? I wonder if they could still do that.
Go Moms! LOL.
The Guy is there because he's black!!
Democrats wanted to look "Open Minded" Now these people went and did it THEY NOMINATED A NEGRO!!!
Now all those bigots are thinking hmmmmmmmm. I guess I could actually vote McCain in the booth and no one will know!
On any given day? All of 'em?
I’m sorry but those Hillary Clinton supporters look like they are waiting for someone to rescue them. Are they short on gene pool? Maybe it’s the inbreeding, I don’t know, but it’s something.
LOL! And he's complaining about foregone conclusions in the Primary?
