MAJOR problem with national air traffic...specifically flight plan system....All air traffic halted, nationally.
I agree with you on all points. It is maddening.

They’re almost all green now (15 minutes) except Chicago and Houston.
When I click on that map, all the dots are orange.

I was just about to say that I did, and now we’re both orange. So I don’t know! Bizarre story. How can all the airports be delayed, flights diverted or otherwise not on schedule, and the news has dropped the story completely?

Wish we could get more anecdotal information from our FReepers who are at the airports.
Still no flights going over my house, on a gorgeous afternoon, when light planes are usually out.
Not even the Goodyear Blimp, which is supposed to be giving rides to people all week long.

KFI radio in Los Angeles just quoted some FAA weenie as saying there will be “delays in the short term.” I’ll say. But where is everybody else?
They keep saying “but the pilots can talk to air traffic controllers.” So what? Pilots could talk to ATC on Sept. 11th, what is that supposed to mean?

I’ve noticed some strange things here lately, beginning with the all out attack on some Republican candidates for President. Then it spills over into chat topics which—what the hell—isn’t that what chat is for? We need something to balance all the world news.
My brother left Denver with a half hour delay due to “mechanicals”.

Ten nukes could be going off nationwide, and FOX would be talking about what Barry did today and what he'll have for dinner tonight, followed by hard-hitting Hollywood TMZ-like journalism then following a car chase in Los Angeles.
