Very strange indeed.

I don’t trust the FAA site.

Wish we could get more anecdotal information from our FReepers who are at the airports.

Still no flights going over my house, on a gorgeous afternoon, when light planes are usually out.

Not even the Goodyear Blimp, which is supposed to be giving rides to people all week long.

Very strange.

KFI radio in Los Angeles just quoted some FAA weenie as saying there will be “delays in the short term.” I’ll say. But where is everybody else?

They keep saying “but the pilots can talk to air traffic controllers.” So what? Pilots could talk to ATC on Sept. 11th, what is that supposed to mean?

Perhaps someone with knowledge of live airport feeds can comment on this:

JFK ATC feeds down: http://www.jfktower.com/jfktwr/viewforum.php?f=13

Many webcams of airports in U.S. down:

FK ATC Feeds for Atlanta down

Anything to this? This info from another board.

I’m in Minneapolis, and just drove home through rush hour. In the hour and a half I was on the road, i didn’t see a single plane in the sky- very unusual. My route is a few miles west of MSP International, so i’m used to seeing the sky full of inbound/outbound flights.

What’s up?
