Been on the tarmac for 45 minutes. Finally received clearance to depart. Unfortunately there is now a ground hold in ATL due to weather...what a way to spend your 40th birthday...
Happy 40th Birthday! I’m afraid it sounds like Atlanta was the first hit and this, coupled with torrential rainfall there, has exacerbated the problem. What a nightmare. And the news has completely been dropped at CNN, so I don’t know what to say. Are you getting any info from the crew? Are you at least in line for departure or are you sitting at the gate?
Did you make it to ATL? My brother ended up leaving the gate only to have the cabin fill up with smoke! Didn’t make it home, needless to say.
