Chicago Clinton Supporter: Obama Mentor Called Me ‘Uncle Tom’ (Obama's camp plays race card again)

Racial infighting among Democrats, which marred the presidential primaries, has flared up again at the party’s convention in Denver, where a black Hillary Clinton delegate is accusing a black Barack Obama delegate of calling her an “Uncle Tom.”

Delmarie Cobb of Chicago told FOX News Monday that Illinois Senate President Emil Jones, whom Obama called his “political godfather,” hurled the racially charged insult against her late Saturday for speaking out in support of Clinton. Although Democrats at the convention are trying to project an image of unity, there is lingering bitterness between the Clinton and Obama camps, in part because each side accused the other of playing the race card during the primaries.

On Monday, Illinois’ National Organization for Women President Bonnie Grabenhofer reportedly called on Jones to resign immediately from the Illinois state Senate for using the racial slur.

“That was a pretty horrible comment,” Grabenhofer, also a Clinton delegate, told The Sun-Times.

Just keep in mind that calling someone an “Uncle Tom” is labeling that person as a race traitor...the opposite of calling someone a racist.

An “Uncle Tom” is a complaint/insult that you are *not* racist.

If Obama doesn't get elected he will claim it's because America hasn't got beyond their “racist roots”.

Blacks calling another black an 'Uncle Tom' is a far bigger insult than calling them a racists. Blacks take pride in being racists.

A friend of mine, a no-nonsense black woman who's slightly conservative, related a story to me once about how she was arguing with some blacks about something and they seriously accused her of having a uniquely-black condition called "Inner Oppression".

Apparently, that's where you've "been oppressed for so long that you oppress yourself".

lol

“Blacks take pride in being racists.”

Unfortunately, that’s what makes typical black people typical black people.

Since the republican party was founded to free the slaves and give equal rights to the Blacks, if Frederick Douglas, George Washington Carver, and Booker T. Washington were still alive, they would think that all black Democrats are traitors to their race.

I just noticed that someone has already updated the entry:

In 2008, Illinois Senate President Emil Jones called Delmarie Cobb of Chicago the racially charged word for Cobb speaking out in support of Hilary Clinton. [8]

Looks like it was added late last night. The timestamp is 02:13, 26 August 2008, which I believe is GMT.

This would be the Clintons playing the race card. It is their supporter who is the “victim”.

Obama’s sending his surrogates out there to challenge anyone not voting for him and he'll use the “Uncle Tom” label for any black Clinton Supporter. I don't think reporting what someone said is playing the race card if what they said is racial derogatory.

Playing the race card means using racial victimhood for political purposes. The Obama guy is a racist, but it the Hillary supporter that played the race card.

I think it's both. Obama’s guy is a racist and playing the race card. This guys playing the victim by claiming that a black Clinton supporter is a traitor to the black cause.
