Feds Investigate Possible Obama Assassination Plot in Denver

Three men arrested in Aurora, Colo., on methamphetamine and firearms charges may have been plotting to assassinate Barack Obama, FBI authorities told FOX News late Monday, although local officials are still pondering the intent of the suspects.

Aurora Police Detective Marcus Dudley identified Tharin Gartrell, 28, as one suspect pulled over for a routine traffic stop Sunday and found to be wanted on numerous warrants. Two rifles, including a sniper rifle, and methamphetamines were found in the car.

Federal sources said this incident may have had more to do with methamphetamine than with any plot to assassinate Obama, but local police did not say why they connected the men to the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

No one, NO ONE should threaten or plan injury or death to ANY candidate. That being said...

It seems to me that the one who would benefit most from Obama being assassinated BEFORE the election is Hillary. The outrage would galvanize the Democrat party and they would nominate her and steamroll McCain in the fall.

After the election, should Obama win (God forbid) an assassination would make Biden president, and usher in another error of martyr worship that would make what happened after the Kennedy assassination seem almost dismissive. The Obama Center for the Arts, Obaman High School, the National Day of Obama Remembrance...

Morbid speculation, but some Democrats would seem to be the only ones to “benefit” from anything happening to Obama. I would think the Republicans would want to chip in towards Obama’s security detail, at least until the election.

The media will treat it like a big deal assissination attempt, even though no one was even scratched. However, many events, like the mall shooting a while back, in which people were actually killed, and the shooter was yelling Allah Akbar, are just a lone kook, and not a terrorist attack.
