Washington, DC U.S. Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr. (D-DE), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime & Drugs, introduced legislation today designed to ensure the identification, apprehension, and extradition of felony fugitives.
The Fugitive Information Networked Database (FIND) Act of 2008 (S.3136) will encourage States to enter new and outstanding felony warrants into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database by authorizing grants to State and local agencies to upgrade their warrant databases. This upgrade will make their systems compatible and interoperable with the national database allowing for seamless entry of state and local warrants into the federal database. The FIND Act will also authorize additional funds for the extradition of fugitives.
If someone is arrested in one state and its not recorded in any national database murderers and rapists can potentially escape justice merely by crossing state lines, said Sen. Biden. This is inexcusable.
For over forty years, the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) has served as the computer database that law enforcement agencies across the nation routinely use to track fugitives: crime suspects whom police can't find to arrest, and defendants who skip court or violate their probation or parole rules.

Run, Larry, Run!
20 million illegal immigrants. Just imagine how many potential murderers and rapists are in that segment of society.
We even have people who'd rather deport rapists who are in this country illegally under the mistaken belief that they will either be jailed back in their homeland or that they won't come back here.
Sounds good on the face of it but:
1. Biden is a Democrat.
2. Anyone who trusts a Democrat is not wise.
3. The entering of warrants by states is already being done.
4. Said law will only be enforced against his [Democrats] political enemies.
5. Beware of a Democrat bearing a gift.
They used it on Larry Sinclair....shut down websites too.
Since pretty much everything is a felony these days, ol' Jackboot Joe ain't just talking about murderers and rapists.
This year, the state of Michigan has already bagged four escaped prisoners who were on the lam for decades apiece. I'm pretty sure the escapees might have jaywalked, littered or spit on the sidewalk a few times while otherwise keeping their noses clean for lo those many years.
I'm beginning to think that the police state has arrived, and we passed tyranny doing 80 mph a while ago...
