The 7 Most Retarded Ways Celebrities Have Tried to Go Green
By David Knight
With the threat of global warming looming, it's more important than ever that all of us appear to care about the environment.
Maybe no one works harder on this than celebrities, who make it a point to show up in the papers every now and then with their latest eco-friendly gesture. We would applaud them for this, if it wasn't for the fact that the gestures are often mind-blowingly retarded.

In fairness to Begley, he must have a sense of humor about himself, since he did provide the voice for that.

Poor thing has to strip down to a bathing suit to tolerate the scorching temps! And check out the rising sea level behind her!

COMMENT FROM BLOGGER DIRK BELIG... Kudos for mentioning the Live Earth sham. If the insane “Goreacle” and the retarded bands who participated in this debacle had the slightest shred of intellectual honesty and weren’t utter “do-as-we-say-not-as-we-do” hypocrites, they would’ve done it as a TV broadcast with performers doing unplugged sets from their own homes or studios. But that wouldn’t have been as much fun as pumping all that *bad* CO2 into the air so you can hector an audience into living better than you can be bothered to, is it?
Man-made global warming is a hysterical religion for stupid people to practice. It’s an instant warning sign that whoever I’m talking to is living in a fantasy world of irrational non-logic.

Retarded? Michael Savage was raked across the coals for an out-of-context statement regarding autism, but this is kosher?

I can no longer say “retarded”, “white”, “uncle tom” or “black hole”.
Can I say “bite me”?

The author fails to mention Dave Matthews. He is viewed as a champion of environmental causes. He allows the Dave Matthews tour buses septic system to be dumped into the Chicago River.

"And here I was thinking that at least the Top 5 would have been by Ed Begley, Jr. himself." I'll give Ed his dues. He at least "walks his walk" on his home and going green (As well as his car too).
And he is at least practical in spreading the word on conservation.
His theory is: "OK, you don't believe in global warming, but would you like to save money on your energy bills? OK Here are some ways to do so."

If you see the movie “Tropic Thunder”, very funny IMHO, it has been picketed because one of the running jokes in it is that when you are an actor you cannot go “Full Retard” without hurting your career!
I highly recommend it. (r rated, bad language)

That was pretty much what I was getting at: the professional outrage gang that champions mental disabilities when it is most expedient.
