AP Profile of Code Pink at DNC Convention Ignores Founder's Bundling for Obama Campaign

The Associated Press ran a profile this morning on the efforts by the so-called antiwar group Code Pink the Democratic National Convention in Denver this week that ignored the intimate fundraising role the group's co-founder Jodie Evans has with the Obama campaign.

The article, sympathetic in tone, reported on the difficulties Code Pink has had getting the Democratic party to end the war in Iraq and how they are struggling to keep the public's attention on the war as other issues have come to the fore this election year.

Significantly, the article paints Code Pink as being given the brush off by Barack Obama's Senate office, but fails to mention that Jodie Evans played a key role in launching Obama's campaign when she co-hosted his breakout Hollywood fundraiser in February 2007 soon after he launched his presidential campaign. The article also fails to report Evans' role as a bundler for the Obama campaign, having committed to raising between $50,000 and $100,000.

Obama bundlers are being feted at the convention this week with separate private receptions with Obama and his vice presidential selection Joe Biden the evenings after their respective speeches to the convention.

Evans was recently honored by the Progressive Democrats of America with the group's "Inside the Party" award for her dedication to spreading the progressive influence inside the Democratic party.

The AP has been informed of their omission.

AP is a joke. When you know more about something that the “reporters” it’s a testiment to their incompetence.

I’d like to see more in the open press about the Soros connection.

The Code Pinkos have to be Po'ed. They are getting no press. Hard to believe.

Former Dem deligates are getting more press. Loving it.
