Why did no one say it sounded rehearsed.
James Brown playing ... more for the black crowd.
Where is the Michelle that we’ve all come to love?
No, the convention is at the Pepsi Center.
Uh oh, Oprah won’t like that.
Kristol usually nails it.
I thought it was only mush and memories.
Aw, cut the Marxist gasbag some slack, there are two Kansas Cities ... Missouri and Kansas, right?
Just to top it off.
Ah.. Carl Cameron.
Refreshing! He will be honest.. heh.
It's not your TV.
That place is set-up to capture any and all applause, cheers, laughter, etc, and there just wasn't a lot of it tonight.
totally barfable! MichellemyBelle said over and over about making this country as it should be, yet she bragged about her and Barry going to college, etc. and getting to where they are..not good enough? Just pathetic.
Did you catch the drips in the audience that they showed crying too? Just ridiculous!
late to the party.
from what I saw and heard.
The american dream is a “colectivist dream” not individual rights.
The USA is bad unless it surrenders.
Obama “improbable journey” just ironic code for “accidental senator” he was never supposed to win against a well finance republican. His convention speech was the payoff for getting his but whuped.
NBC’s orgasms are just too much. NBC should hand obama a bill and file as a 527.
Chris Wallace said tonight was a wasted night at the Dem Convention.
That’s not the Michelle you used to know?
fanpd, the statistics you posted have no relevance to grading practices in law school. Everything in law school is based on a bell curve centered around a bar-mandated median score that hasn’t changed in 20 years. So there’s no “grade inflation” in law school. Secondly, grade inflation has no relevance when it comes to percentile ranking. The fact that obama had top 10% grades at Harvard Law means that 90% of his classmates had WORSE grades than he did, irrespective of what the actual GPA numbers were. That means that regardless of whether he got into Harvard Law based on affirmative action, he brought the intellectual goods to perform the way he did on an even playing field with his non-AA counterparts. third, law school grades are one of the few areas of education pretty much completely insulated from affirmative action boost due to the blind grading practices.
I think tonight looked better on paper than it did played out on stage
“It seemed to me like she was being very careful to modulate her voice so as not to sound strident, the way we’re used to hearing her.”
I’ve seen PTA speeches given with more passion. Is it my imagination or was she just phoning the whole thing in? The woman delivered this speech with as much life as a cold fish. And she went from radical liberating Trotsky to Harriet Nelson overnight...NOT buying it!
A LARGELY WASTED NIGHT
Bwahahahahah
Chris Wallace just said tonight was a wasted night of the precious 4 they have.
The Civic Center is a good 15 or so blocks from the Pepsi Center
