You think it would be a better idea to send a boat unable to defend itself or anyone else??

President Bush Attends Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention, Discusses Global War on Terror
Orange County Convention Center
Orlando, FL
If we are going to be serious about the War on Terror, then known terrorists such as key advisor Bill Ayers should be arrested as his role of leader of the Weathermen and the bombings of this group in the 1970s.
There should be no time limitations for the prosecution of people such as Bill Ayers...
Or do we only go after Arab/Persian terrorists and not WHITE terrorists such as Bill Ayers and his wife...
Besides, it will make good copy for newspapers and TV during the Democratic National Convention...

does that sound to you like US wants peace and quiet in the region?Sometimes that is how one brings peace and quiet. The Russians have shown themselves for the thugs and brutes that they are.
I accidently sent this as a private message (it's early and I've not had much coffee). I meant to say it publicly.

That “humanitarian aid” will help thousands of people that are truly in need right now. Would be nice if we were able to protect ourselves if necessary. Would you rather we show up in a row boat?
Welcome to FR.

He WAS arrested. He was TRIED. He was NOT CONVICTED. He got off on a legal technicality. He CAN’T be tried again without new charges. Also, Bill Clinton pardoned some members of the Weather Underground, though I don’t know which members.

The DOD, Navy have pictures on their official sites of the ships loading humanitarian supplies and give the destination as Georgia..It’s no secret..I saw planes loaded, too..but of course they can’t hold what a ship can.

You must be new around these parts. Never bow to a bully. We walk quietly with a big stick, good to see we are doing the right things. Humanitarian aid is worthless if it were hijacked by anything in the region. Taking anything from a U.S. military ship is something only an idiot would attempt. We do bring peace and supplies, pay attention to the whole picture.

My post was intended to remind those who might know MORE than what is out there in the media to be careful about posting any details that might -not- be common knowledge to the Russians or any other adversaries of the United States. More than a few Freepers are past and present members of the armed forces and/or Defense Department and see and hear things that are *never* reported. Everyone is careful, but it never hurts to be reminded.
Happy to clarify.
As you were.
