Am sure that Biden’s financial worth is singnificantly higher. . .where he put’s it; how he hides it. . .whose name he hides it under; don’t know; but this figure totally unrealistic for a pro like Biden. NO way. . .
Either there is a zero missing in that number or the guy is in big trouble. Well he does get a $170k salary for life...
It cost $350,000 in 1996, valued at $525,700 (of which $81,700 is for 4.17 acres of land). 6850 sq ft. Residence 2 is 1900 sq ft (probably his mom’s home- he’s a good guy for taking care of his mom, to be fair). It is a long, narrow strip with a larger shape at end, like a key shaped parcel. This is his main residence, not sure of others.
Biden reports a net worth of about $470,000. $470,000!! That's all? He's been in the Senate for what? thirty years? $470,000?
The question is not So, Mr. Biden, how many homes do you have? The question is, what the hell is wrong with you? Thirty years as an elected member of the government?? A measly $470,000!!
ping
Close your eyes and ears. This is gonna hurt...
How many houses does Obama’s biggest cheerleader own? I don’t think he has a problem with that!

Oprah Winfreys Real Estate Empire
While Oprah Winfreys recent purchase of a nearly $6 million co-op unit in Streeterville has attracted media attention, the talk-show queen also has paid $780,000 for a two-level condominium unit in a loft building that is closer to her studios.
In fact, the Near West Side condo that Winfrey bought is less than a block from Oprahs studios, in the seven-story Acorn Loftominiums building.
Winfrey purchased the unit, which had been listed for $800,000, through her Studio Merchandise Inc. corporation, which was formed in 1993 and of which she serves as president.
However, unlike the co-op unit on East Lake Shore Drive, which Winfrey is expected to move intothereby vacating her longtime duplex in Water Tower Placethe Acorn building unit is not expected to be Oprahs residence.
A spokeswoman for Winfrey confirmed the units purchase but declined to comment on its use.
The new unit is another addition to Winfreys massive real-estate empire. Along with this new loft unit, her Water Tower Place duplex and the Lake Shore Drive co-op unit,
Oprahs other properties are:
- The 42.77-acre Promised Land estate in Montecito, Calif., that she bought in 2001 for $50 million and expanded in 2004 by buying an adjacent 1-acre property.
- More than $13 million worth of oceanfront property in Maui.
- A Fisher Island, Fla., condo unit that she purchased in 1996 for $660,000.
- A 10,433-square-foot house on 4.02 acres in Greenwich, Conn., that she bought in 2000 for $3.6 million.
- A house in Merrillville, Ind.
- A lakefront condominium in Milwaukee that she purchased in 2003 for $448,900.
- Two adjoining condo units in Atlanta that she bought in 2003 for $1.515 million.
- A condo in suburban Atlanta that she purchased in 2005 for $825,000.
- A Nashville condo that she bought in 2002 for $191,500.
- A 7,020-square-foot house and an adjacent lot in Franklin, Tenn., that she purchased in 2001 and 2002 for nearly $1.52 million that her father occupies.
- A 2,255-square-foot, single-family house in near west suburban Elmwood Park that she bought in 2001 for $298,000
It’s possible (probable) that the Senate reporting requirements do not including listing one’s primary residence. That would include the entire compound in Biden’s case.
The idea of the reporting is to reveal any ownership and/or financial interest a Member of Congress might have in an entity that lobbies the Congress. SO, whether one lives in a studio apartment condominium or a huge estate is not relevant to that question unless the property belongs to or was acquired through such an entity.
How much Biden’s Delawre compound is worth in the current hypocritical brouhaha over McCain proeprties is relevant. The more aerial shots of it posted on the net, the better.
I'm guessing that some of the houses 'owned' by McCain are actually in his wife's name. A perfect answer for McCain, if it should come up again, is for him to say "Some of those properties are in my wife's name, and I wouldn't think of meddling in her personal business." It would get him brownie points from women all over the country! ;o)
