On the day that Barack Obama announced Joe Biden as his running mate, 39% of voters said he made the right choice. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 25% disagreed and another 35% are not sure.

Women are notably less enthusiastic than men—33% of women say Biden was the right choice while 27% disagreed. Men, by a 46% to 24% margin, said that Obama made the right choice.

Not surprisingly, Democrats were more supportive of Obama’s decision than anybody else—52% of those in his party agreed with his pick while 19% disagreed. However, just 43% of Democratic women said the presumptive nominee made the best pick while 23% disagreed.

I know that Monday, there will be stories all over the “media” how Obama made a “courageous and gutsy move” by selecting the most arrogant and obnoxious buffoon on Capitol Hill to be his “partner” for the rest of the campaign.

You are spot on.

McCain needs to pick a female VP. Palin will do. That way when Biden tries his attack dog style in a VP debate he will look like the bully he is and women will turn out in droves for the GOP.

Biden is a wonderful choice! The most experienced foreign policy mind in the U.S. Senate. With his Pennsylvania roots, he will delivery two states, not just one. He adds maturity and gravitas to the ticket.

And we need to keep saying that so Biden doesn't end up like poor Tom Eagleton!

I think it was an excellent and illustrative choice! Only with the addition of Biden could this make Barry appear more of foolish neophyte than he is. That hunck-o-man “Plugs”Biden from the battleground state of Delaware with all of 3 electoral votes(I’m really having a hard time keeping a straight face now) is the biggest blow-hard looser that ever graced the US Senate. How many times has he run for President himself? As loyal party man I’m all in favor of an Obama/Biden ticket. Hey Barry, read my tag line and weep!

This is an odd question. I would certainly approve of the abortion joe biden-biden pick. Does that mean I would vote for him and barack mcgovern?
