In a way he should if he has confidence that Obama is going to win.. Kinda like the Dukasis/Benson team.. Where Lord Benson was running for VP and the Senate.

It didn’t help Al Gore when Leiberman ran simultaneously for VP and Senator, either.

And it won’t help Hillary Clinton when she tries to run for President and Senator in 2012.

His Senate reelection website (joebiden.com) is already redirecting to barackobama.com so I’d guess he’s going to do just that.

Honestly, Biden could could probably get re-elected as write-in. :P He usually gets elected by a 20%+ margin.

Voters in Delaware are so stupid. They’d elect an idiot if he could wear an empty suit.

Not gonna happen. Biden won’t give up his senate seat that he has held for so long. Anyway, he is not known to be wealthy and it may be his main source of income.

True.. My attitude is this, if you know you are going to win I would drop out of the Senate race and just concentrate of helping your running mate.

Ha, of course he wants him to resign.

The LBJ rule, and as others pointed out, Lieberman means that nothing will come of it.

Those first state voters are in for a sanctimonious lecture from me as soon as Larry Craig is gone .

Anyway, he is not known to be wealthy and it may be his main source of income.

If that is true, then we have concrete proof of how dumber than dumb bin Biden is -- If you are senator for 347 years like Joe has been, and you are not wealthy yet, then your IQ is significantly less than that of a box of rocks.

Totally agree. Biden has been in the Senate bloviating since 1972. In fact, he has been in government all his life, elected to the Senate when he was barely 30. Prior to that he had some other gov't job.

Typical career hack with no clue what's going on outside of Washington.

Delaware Citizens (including those managing 7-11 and Dunkin Donuts) should do the citizen of the USA a favor — not voting for BIDEN as senator and as VP!!! :-)

I doubt if Biden will give up running for Senate, Delaware is a blue state stronghold, and he doesn't need to worry if he becomes VP - the governor will just appoint another (D).
