Texas billionaire Harold Simmons, who helped pay for the devastating attacks on the military record of Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry in 2004, has paid for a television ad that assails Barack Obama over his ties to a founder of a violent radical group.
Simmons, who is also a major fundraiser for John McCain, donated $2.87 million that a newly formed nonprofit group, the American Issues Project, has used for the ad, a report filed Friday with the Federal Election Commission shows.
The 60-second ad opens with Obama giving a speech, then asks how much voters know about him.

I think you miss read Obama. He is not overlooking the others bad character, history etc. He IS ONE OF THEM, he is sympathetic to the radical cause. He can't be active now because then it would be totally obvious who he is.

Does anybody here doubt that there would be a connection between Davis and Ayers, given the connections between the Communist Party and the Weather Underground, particularly between black radicals like Davis and the Weather Underground coming from the Chicago Eight trial?

Oh I understand that all to well.
I think he is just comfortable to the fact he thinks the MSM will squelch or cover any of his tracks. Him and his allies totally under-estimated the opposition.
