FPN to Launch BOYCOTTHALLMARK.COM Over Gay “Wedding” Cards
Family Policy Network ^ | 8-23-08 | FPN

Posted on 08/23/2008 3:23:32 AM PDT by TheAverageGuy

A full-scale boycott against the world’s largest greeting card company will begin next week, prompted by the introduction of new products intended to congratulate recipients of so-called “gay wedding” and “civil union” contracts in states that recently began granting them to homosexual couples.

The pro-family campaign against Hallmark Cards, Inc. is being orchestrated by the nationally-organized Family Policy Network (FPN), which is based in Forest, Virginia. Several state-based pro-family groups are participating in the boycott, and their names will be featured on the boycott website when it is launched next week.

FPN Policy Analyst Alex Mason stated Friday that whenever evangelicals were informed of Hallmark’s pro-homosexual cards, interest was high in holding the card-maker accountable. He said, “Up to this point, Hallmark’s brand was pretty wholesome. If they don’t reconsider this endorsement of immorality, they’ll lose more customers than they stand to gain.” He added, “We hope our efforts to hold them accountable will help them see the light.”

An official announcement from Family Policy Network concerning BOYCOTTHALLMARK.COM will be distributed to national media outlets and the group’s supporters in all 50 states next week.

There is LARGE money in the Homosexual Community and Agenda

BINGO! And that is what is behind companies (Ford, McDonald's) supporting the agenda and courting the demographic. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't remember seeing Hallmark cards targeted to, say, interracial couples. Must not have met the profitability margin. There are a good many wedding cards out there already that do not depict a man and woman or make reference to the gender of the parties in the verse. Why create a new class of cards?

It's a pity, I liked the Hallmark channel and its mostly wholesome fare. I have bought Hallmark cards in the past, but frankly, most commercially-made cards are too expensive.

[I buy greeting cards at the Dollar Store for $.50 each. And they have surprisingly good looking cards at that price.]

Amen, sister! (or brother.)

Hallmark has long been off my radar.

er it’s forcing me to explain to my kids why two men or two women are doing what they are doing.
I have to explain that nature did not intend for two of the same sex to be together and that they like to be together for perverted sexual acts

Mind my own business , should I do that with polygimists, should I do that when someone wants to make it legal to have sex with animals.
A guy had sex with an animal , no shock in sherborn MA was it, should I ignore that as he isn’t forcing anything on me, should I ignore it because it is his own business?

come on where is the line drawn

your whole argument is flawed and trying to defend something which is not defend able

Ignore, no way, the mroe these homosexuals want to run around and not get help the more my family will never accept them and no I will never be silenced by name calling,

tolerance is what is needed and yes it is the homosexuals who need to find tolerance as it is those who do not tolerate anyone who stands ion their path and point the truth out
O and as for nature
well we were created to be a man and to be with a woman to reproduce and have our species live on

Two men cannot reproduce nor can two women , nature intended for man and a woman to be together

A man arse is designed for things to come out and not certainly for things to go in
A man is designed to have sex with a woman , vica versa

what utter nonsense
what difference does it make to me, ARF

another thing while we’re at it, it it is their business why have the weird parades, why go and have stickers, and what on earth is this gay and proud thing.
Why go and tell everyone

UH, can’t you just send a generic card? Does it have to be homosexuality based?

Well a lot of normal wedding cards will be wildly inappropriate.

Simple. You said the normal ones would be inapproiate. I guess that would mean a picture of a man and woman exchanging rings or something. I said just get a card without the picture. If it is so normal, then any old generic verse should cover it.

And a lot of greeting card verses are gender-specific.

My point is this: there is a place for a tasteful greeting card. It's an effective way to be polite, even if I don't approve of the behavior.

There ARE other alternatives (forgive the pun).

I am associated with a very pro-American, pro-Family greeting card company that combines the best of Internet with that good old fashioned, barely used but necessary in today's world form of communication-a real, live, snail-mail card.

My kids actually ASK me if they can send thank you's. Freepmail if interested in more information.

Or just don’t send anything at all. Just make a phone call and say have a great life and leave it at that.

Do you want your children looking at cards for gays at Walmart?

A whole slew of the birthday cards for young heterosexual men and women on display at a card shop near you are not suitable for children's eyes, between the nearly naked swimsuit models and the mildly amusing explicit sexual innuendo.

So why should I worry about a wedding card with two tuxedos on it?
