Even as he publicly remains coy about his political future, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg has quietly approached some of the citys most powerful media figures to assess whether their publications would endorse a bid to overturn New York Citys term limits, which could clear a path for him to run for re-election next year.

Economy? Bloomberg is a tax-hiker and across the board leftist, not just pro-choice.
My only ever pretended to be a Republican cause the GOP nomination for Mayor could be bought easier than the crowed rat field. (and since then quit the party)
You must not know much about Bloomberg. He wants Euro-style congestion charging on roads.
This is just fodder from the NY Slimes to drive those conservatives stupid enough to fall for it from McCain.
If the candidate doesn’t respect human life, I don’t care how good they are on money issues. My vote isn’t for sale.
Bloomberg is a nanny state nut job
He has always lived in cities and has no idea how rural and suburban America is what makes America a success
If any Mayor of NYC should have had another term, it was Rudy after 9/11. But Bloomberg, even in that horrific situation, couldn't wait to get his hands on “the reins of power”.
Would I support Bloomberg for any office on which I got a vote? No way in hell! I've absolutely nothing against folks with money, but Soros and Bloomberg are too willing to use their billions to impress their will on the rest of us. I wouldn't let either of them lick my shoes!
Irrelevant, Bloomberg=tax and spend.
I’ve heard that e-bay’s Meg Whitman is a dark horse candidate.
I sincerely do not believe flyover states will support this elitist Bloomberg. He is not one of us.
McCain has to get someone who can connect with REAL Americans, not just North East liberals.
Besides could anyone stand any debate between Bloomie and Biden? It would be boring as watching soup cool down.
Bloomberg would keep me away from the polls as sure as death.
Silly speculation.
He can just do like his socialist buddy Putin and declare himself sort of a "Prime Minister" (New York needs one of those and it would be a life-time post because there is no such position defined in the New York Constitution) and then the New York political machine can pick a "mayor" (like they always do) to affirm and enact all his policies.
Christine Quinn is supposedly slated to be next mayor of NYC. So if Bloomie does get term limits over turned it would mean that the NYC dem machine is working behind the scenes to back stab Quinn. Mainly because as much as they want a hard corps Lesbian, Liberal to be Mayor, They despise term limits even more. How dare the people tell them they can’t rule in perpetuity.
Bloomberg the most anti flyover country candidate McCain could pick.
He does a decent job in NYC despite his *windmills of the mind* recent outburst and other silliness that urbanites lap up. He keeps the mob at bay and should remain as mayor
