Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama prepared to name his running mate, perhaps as early as Friday, from a small field o0f candidates that included at least one dark horse.

Also, Major is talking about some private jet that may be en route to pick up someone ....(distracted by my Mom's phone call) and about an initial "R" .. Biden's middle name is Robinette. Everyone's all over the place ... speculating.

He is bad on taxes too.
Ummmmm ... No.
The real Chet Edwards:

Please note that Chet votes that way when it doesnt matter, to fool constituents, but votes liberal when it DOES matter. He’s Nancy Pelosi’s poodle.
This statement: “I have a list of unreliable snakes and flakes
and Chet Edwards is at the top of the list.” is quite true!
“I need no lectures about Edwards record.”
OK. I am jumping out of my skin because people on this thread are calling him conservative and “blue dog” and not sarcastically. It’s simple misinformation, and misinformation that Chet has used to get re-elected by gullible voters.
No, the right word for him is “liar” and “snake”.

Could Florida favorite son Bob Graham be Obama’s v.p. choice?
> Posted by Anthony Man at 6:12 PM
An intriguing notion sprouted Friday afternoon: Bob Graham as the Democratic vice presidential candidate.
Though the Barack Obama camp is exceedingly tight lipped, seeking to build suspense and generate lots of news coverage for Saturday’s announcement, the idea of Graham as veep was discussed in a commentary from a UCLA political science professor published in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“For Obama, an obvious choice is Bob Graham . The former Florida governor and U.S. senator (and more recently a Harvard professor) is an expert on intelligence policy and an articulate speaker. His own 2004 presidential bid fizzled, but in part for a commendable reason: Unlike John Kerry and Howard Dean, Graham unequivocally opposed the Iraq war all along.”
More intriguing is that Grahams wife, Adele, e-mailed links to the Inquirer piece to friends.
On the plus side: Graham has lots of foreign policy experience, including time as chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. He’s not a headline-grabber (something Obama said applies to his choice). He’s had some national vetting because of his own, unsuccessful presidential run. And some think he’d bring Florida into the Democratic column.
On the minus side: He hasn’t been on a Florida ballot in eight years, and despite the good feelings for him held by many Sunshine State residents, it’s a transient state with a lot of people who’ve never cast a vote for the man.
His age, 69, would make it harder for the Obama camp to make Republican John McCain’s age an issue. And he’s kept those exceedingly detailed diaries of everything he’s done every day for years, which make him look a little eccentric to some people.
Here’s the full commentary.

I’m LOLing here...
YAWN.
This is a Hollywood hype trick. This is all MISDIRECTION. That bumper sticker looks nothing like the bumper sticker they really use.
I THINK ITS ALL BEEN JUST A BIG HYPE THING TO CREATE BUILDUP AND THEY ARE PLANTING THESE STORIES.
We really should NOT care who he picks, it really doesnt matter. He will still make a horrible awful president and his VP choice will make one iota of difference.
There’s no crescent moon. It’s gotta be a fake.

It’s called a “nuanced decision process.” It didn’t work so well for Hamlet!

So will he choose Biden? What fun. Biden has lots of foreign policy experience and he gets everything wrong every time.
And all those teeth and those egos prancing around together. What can one say?
