This is an E-mail I received from our dear Senator in response to my including my name on the Energy petitions. I thought it might be of interest.
Every day, I hear from the people of Ohio through their phone calls, letters and faxes to my office. As you can imagine, I also receive a significant number of e-mails daily. Mass-generated e-mails sent by a third-party group, which are usually form text, have hindered my ability to respond to the e-mails, phone calls, letters and faxes that I receive. Due to the increasing number of mass-generated e-mails received by my office, effective March 16, 2007, my office will be implementing changes to the constituent correspondence process.
Consequently, I have established a new system on my website to better serve Ohio constituents. If you would like a written response to your e-mail, please go to http://voinovich.senate.gov and click on the CONTACT tab to fill out the web CONTACT FORM. By filling out this form, you will receive a written response from my office.
Thank you for your patience. Should you experience any problems with my web CONTACT FORM, please call my office at 202-224-3353 and my staff will be happy to guide you through the electronic correspondence process.
Sincerely,
George V. Voinovich United States Senator
Not that I could tell—but of course, e-mails don’t wrinkle when cried on like paper does! LOL
This is THE standard response from the exalted ones who cannot take the time to respond to their constituents. All he did was send you to a central point where he can trash ALL mail from the people.
Biden’s been doing it for years. You send him an e-mail on the Senate website and you will get a response .... NEVER. His office personnel are just as responsive.
Rep Castle (RINO) does the same thing. His office’s response to get with the reps fighting Pelosi was “He voted for drilling... but he has other commitments”. Yeah, sucking up to contributors for his re-election.
Carper, at least tries. That’s about it. And he really tries me.
Voinovich better do something. His re-elect numbers are terrible
I thought I heard somewhere that he’s planning to retire before the next election. Does anyone know if that’s accurate?
I hope so, it would give someone else a shot.
Although its not for another two years, the favorite to win the seat is Jennifer Brunner, the Ohio SoS. I do NOT want to see her on the ticket against a RINO, all the dems love her.
God help us if Ohio ends up with two liberals in the senate.
