Michael Steele has been chosen to once again address the Republican National Convention.
Steele, who was a speaker in New York City in 2004, will speak on the second night of the RNC at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul. Steele received high marks from party members for his address from the floor of the RNC four years ago when he was Lt. Governor.

It is encouraging to hear this. I wish the GOP had a greater representation of black people in it. And the Libertarians and the Green Partly and Independents too. Black folk have had their eggs all in one basket (to no avail) for too long.
He’s my VP choice.
Mr. Steele is a patriot, a straight talker and a clear thinker. He should have a future in the GOP.
BTTT!
Does anyone know if Cspan is going to be covering the conventions at night? Both conventions have suddenly become very interesting.

Heres a link to his speech from 2004. I like the part about hope the best.
“Now, at the Democratic convention, we heard one word over and over again: hope. But there’s a problem, my friends. Hope is not a strategy. Hope doesn’t protect your kids from terrorism. Hope doesn’t lower your taxes. Hope doesn’t help you buy a home. And hope doesn’t ensure quality education for your children.
s the book of James reminds us: “It’s not enough just to have faith. Faith that does not show itself by good deeds is no faith at all.”
Mine too.
I love Michael Steele!
He’s really amazing. I’ve had his 2004 convention speech in my head since I first heard it. I wish that McCain had him or Allen West on his short list.
It’s nice to have Steele be a black voice in the GOP instead of Keyes
I LOVE Michael Steele! Articulate...and has a ton of common sense and....background.
;-)

From your Keyboard to God’s eyes.
Yeah, or that turncoat JC Watts.... voting black instead of ideals or principles.... he showed his race is more important than everything else has claimed to believe in.
Why isn’t Steele on the VP list?
We would vote for Michael Steele as President as well....
He'd be a good one..but my 1st pick is M I T T.
I missed that, I like Watts, what did he do that showed his race was more important than princples?
