Responding to a D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com press release issued yesterday that highlighted the Republican National Committee called out Obama bundler Jodie Evans for supporting the insurgency in Iraq, the Code Pink co-founder is quoted by the liberal website Raw Story as denying her support for the candidacy of presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama.
Evans, who co-hosted Obama's breakout Hollywood fundraiser soon after he announced his candidacy in February 2007, is listed as a bundler for the Obama campaign and has contributed the maxiumum $2300 to his primary campaign.
Evans denies that she is a friend of Obama's and says she has "no influence on his views", even though she acknowledges to Raw Story that she has met Obama several times. Her Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin claims Obama is on a first name basis with Evans and told Evans he agrees with her on ending the war in Iraq at a Hollywood fundraiser in June 2008.
In the article, Evans blames her financial support for Obama on her 'husband', Max Palevsky: "Since I'm his wife, I get tied to that effort because the money's going through both of us."
That doesn't explain her page on Barack Obama's official website, nor does it explain the endorsement of Obama she issued earlier this year, but it might explain the $2300 contribution to Obama by Evans and Palevsky's unemployed student son, Matthew Palevsky.
Raw Story glosses over Evans' endorsement of the insurgency in Iraq even as it mentions an excerpt from a Robert Novak column posted at the RNC's BarackBook.com entry on Evans that reported Code Pink's endorsement of the insurgency.
Instead, Raw story calls such factual accusations "Republicans' attempted character assassination" and lets Evans off the hook with her response: "It just seems silly to me. It's a big stretch ... so why bother? I have much more to worry about."
The D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com and other pro-troop, pro-victory groups have been urging the Obama campaign to renounce Evans for her anti-American actions that, in addition to her support for the insurgency in Iraq, include sympathizing with Osama bin Laden's reasons for the 9/11 attacks and working with the anti-American governments of (the late) Saddam Hussein, Hugo Chavez and the Castro brothers.
When will Obama throw her under the bus where she belongs?
Excellent work!!!!
Honestly, without FreeRepublic members, I shudder to think of where our country would be right now.
Interesting. The DC chapter seems to have all the fun!
That’s a hard one. Wright might take one for the team but Barry is beholden to the anti-war nuts.
Way to to go Freeper!!!!!............
to be fair the democrats only said they support the troops, they didn’t say they support OUR TROOPS
She is treasonous and should be treated as such.

I agree and I am thankful for the powerful freepers.
"Thanks for the job Mom..."
Jodie’s a “Producer” and here’s the film, “Stripped and Teased: Tales from Las Vegas Women.”
Looks like she finally got a job last April.
Another example of why FR is THE best site for grassroots conservatives to meet and exchange ideas! This is great stuff kristinn.
I wish I was a bit closer so I could get down to a Friday in front of WRH. I will be there in a month or two though.
Again GREAT JOB. Keep throwing punches.
Thanks for that listing. I suppose she’ll blame that on her husband, too.
D.C. Chapter Master Ping List
Kristinn’s hard work is paying off. Code Pink is finally getting a second look, not that any self respecting FReeper would ever give a CP womyn a second look.
Good Work Kristinn. Thanks for exposing another Anarchist for Obambi.
[Mr] T
Must be nice to be an out of work, full time protester and have $20K+ to toss around to losing campaigns.
(I can’t believe Boxer keeps getting elected)
(How's it going, TR???...:)
