So far your position is this... do nothing...
Yup, you can say that. I think Ivins and Hatfield tried that at the beginning. Good luck!
Wow that’s awesome. Guy talks super fast, but is entertaining and dead on. Too many innocent people get screwed for blabbing.
If you see that big of a difference between the use of purchase documents to round up suspects and the FBI wanting to interview everyone on the net named "rob" you are living in dreamland.
Do you two believe that these little girls’ lives are only worth a $25,000 award for information?
I don't believe you. Ballistic testing has been accepted in courts for decades... it isn't subjective like the lie detector...
What they are doing is a huge waste. Again, how is this any different than solving a crime by checking everyone’s DNA in town for a rape/murder?
Huh?
Of course not.
Don't be so obvious.
The person you are raging against did not write that. Now you are quoting the article. You just like to argue don’t you. You don’t read a thing anyone writes to you and just jump to conclusions.
Again you create a strawman and argue against it.
I understand that position Martin... but I'm sure the police has nothing to go forward with the existing forensic evidence...
I feel the Police really want to get this wacko off the streets and in prison where he belongs more than making some gun owners all hot and bothered...
Neither one of us knows exactly why the police might believe the perpetrator is a local...
You should really watch this:

Talking to the cops can only hurt, not help you. As others have stated, it’s a bad idea to trust these tests. If you don’t volunteer, that should be the end of it. The real problem in this article is going after the ones that didn’t. That just makes people think it’s better to give in and incriminate themselves. I don’t trust this ‘fingerprinting’ stuff, which is all the reason I’d need.
“The other 15 or so gun owners who did not show up will be checked by the OSBI to see why they didn’t volunteer for the test firings.”
So much for volunteering.
Because they want to appear to be doing something. And from some of the moronic post here in this thread, I see it is working.
Classic ‘volunteer or else’ situation.
But how about this... consult with your attorney how to present your gun for testing? Your attorney would know exactly how to limit the scope of the testing... how to ensure the testing is done professionally without bias... would you be more agreeable to this because after all... wouldn't you want to be eliminated as a suspect so the police can focus their attention on finding the real suspect who killed those 2 young girls?
There's simply no parallel. This is only like checking every male's DNA in a town for rape/murder.
Violation of 2nd and 4th Amendment rights is apparently just fine if its 'For the Children'. Hmmm, where have I heard that argument before...?
Profiling is sooo un-PC in the Brave New World, remember?
The only way it’ll help convict anyone is if I’m the guilty one in that case.
Do you really think they expected the killers to show up? They did this to harrass those that did not.
It’s a horrible thing.
I think you’re more focused on the gun aspect than anything. Why would I be considered a ‘suspect’ as you say? Cause I happened to own one of the most popular pistols in the country?
