Toby Keith: Obama's 'Best Democratic Candidate We've Had Since Bill Clinton' Toby Keith Praises Obama Tuesday, August 19, 2008 By Ryan Pearson, Associated Press

Los Angeles - Barack Obama is getting praise from Nashville, courtesy of one big, patriotic country star.

Toby Keith, perhaps best known to non-country audiences for his post-Sept. 11 song "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue," says he's a Democrat, and was impressed by the senator from Illinois.

I thought Toby Keith was smarter than that. He certainly didn’t give me the impression that he was a dim. Too bad - he seems like a pretty decent guy otherwise.

I’m a Toby Keith fan and I’m with you. These kind of statements from Keith don’t surprise me. Contrary to popular belief, Keith has always tried to tow the middle when it came to politics.

We will raise our glasses against non-diversity forces singing chablis for the men and mineral water for the horses.

Toby must be hitting his horse’s bottle.

Toby who??
I can't tell one song from the other. So Keith likes Bubba Clinton and Barry Hussein? He just put a boot in the ass of what little career he had left. Big and stupid.

Another country singer who has no idea who his audience is.
Let’s see how this plays out across the country music stations...

Never was a Keith fan; there are so many traditional country artists that outshine him.

Toby Keith: Obama's 'Best Democratic Candidate We've Had Since Bill Clinton'

Wow. Not much of an endorsement. Are we sure Toby's not pretending to be a Dimocrat? He's dragging Obambi into the slime-cesspool that was the Clinton administration? THAT is an endorsement?

lol. Toby must still be po’d because the military wouldn’t let him perform “The Courtesy” as part of his USO tour.

This is rich - I smell a make-up in the cards, maybe even a love match. Remember the other Dixie Chicks controversy, when Natalie wore the shirt that said FUTK and everyone knew what it meant....now they find they have more in common than they ever dreamed. Sigh....

What is it about actors and singers that makes them think we give a rat’s patootie what they think?? Keith is a good singer who needs to kep his yap closed unless he’s onstage singing.

Apparently, these egotistical, brain dead idiots have failed to learn the lesson of the Ditzy Twits - Shut up and Sing!!!!

(Needless to say, Keith has permanently removed himself from MY playlist!!)

Maybe he’s been hanging around the Hollyweird types too long. It helps him in pushing his new movie, that’ll go a long way in getting additional work in Tinseltown. It’s all about $$$.

Toby Keith, if you are lurking, get this:

You are the number one guy except for The Empty Suit himself who I wish would just STFU.

EVERY TIME my Sooners play on national TV, there you are, jumping out in front of the camera like you're somebody.

To paraphrase Laura Ingraham, just STFU and sing and you'll be much more popular around here.

So he’s better than Gore or Kerry. Kind of a backhanded compliment, don’t you think?

Toby Keith: Obama’s ‘Best Democratic Candidate We’ve Had Since Bill Clinton’

Considering Bubba, Al and John Kerry (and the Mos Eisley Cantina crowd they beat for the nomination)...that’s setting the bar pretty low, isn’t it?
