Caylee Anthony Mom Casey Might Not Pass Go

New details have emerged in the case of missing Caylee Anthony - Sacramento bounty hunter Leonard Padilla may not be able to get Casey Anthony out of jail by Tuesday.

Let's start with case facts (Scroll down for latest updates): The mother of a missing Florida toddler is a "person of interest" in a possible homicide.

Casey was formerly charged with child neglect and other charges involving alleged lies to police about her daughter's whereabouts. Caylee Marie Anthony, 2, has not been seen for more than a month. Caylee allegedly disappeared on June 9th.

Investigators have said stains, along with hair and dirt, were found in the trunk of a car belonging to the mother, Casey Anthony. There also was the odor of human decomposition, the same odor detected in her parents' backyard. Two separate cadaver dogs hit on the car, indicating the scent of death.

Investigators found nothing when they dug in the backyard of Caylee's grandmother Cindy Anthony's home, however.

Cindy Anthony, Casey's mother, told an interviewer on the "Early Show" on CBS that her daughter "has her reasons why she can't be completely honest" with police. Caylee's grandmother, Cindy, has maintained that she does not know anything about her granddaughter's disappearance and will not discuss her daughter's unwillingness to be honest with police.

The 911 tapes in which Cindy reported her granddaughter missing have been released. In the first tape, Cindy said her daughter Casey had been missing for a month and that she just found her. (Cindy recently said in court that she spoke with her daughter everyday between the time she disappeared and the time she returned.) She wanted Casey arrested and reported that she had stolen her automobile and "some money" on the 30th of June. Cindy said Casey would not tell her where Caylee is.

In the second tape, Cindy Anthony is obviously panicked and goes into detail about her granddaughter's disappearance. She told the dispatcher that her daughter just admitted that her granddaughter was taken by Casey's long-time babysitter. "There's something wrong," she said. Cindy found her daughter's car and told the dispatcher that the car smelled like there was a dead body in it. (Cindy recently insisted she did not smell a dead body, but a rotting pizza.) Casey then talks with the dispatcher, confirming that her daughter has been missing - and that she's been trying to find her through "other resources" before reporting it to police. Casey claimed she knows who took her daughter - her nanny. Her name is Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, a woman that doesn't exist and may have been made-up by Casey.

It was revealed earlier this week that Casey Anthony was out partying a week after her daughter went missing. Casey was photographed partying with some lovely gentlemen at a club on June 20th - well after the date she told police her daughter went missing.

Casey has changed her story, as has her attorney, claiming the date she gave police as the day her daughter disappeared is false and that Casey was lacking the guidance of an attorney at the time. Apparently Caylee disappeared "much later" than the date Casey gave authorities, perhaps even early July. The grandmother Cindy, however, says Caylee was gone on June 15th.

Casey was also seen partying with friends on July 4th.

Crime Scene Investigators, or CSI, took "evidence" from the home of Cindy Anthony after arriving with empty bags and leaving with two full bags recently.

It is believed that CSI officials collected bags of evidence in the search for Caylee. Reports suggest Casey may have borrowed a shovel around the time Caylee disappeared. A new 'concrete slab' in the backyard was also brought into question.

Caylee Anthony's grandfather has alleged in a television interview that Caylee's mom stole two gas cans shortly before the youngster disappeared. George Anthony told Fox News Tuesday night the containers and about $50 worth of gasoline disappeared from his backyard tool shed in Orlando June 24 and he saw one of them in the trunk of a car belonging to his daughter, Casey Anthony, later that day.

The Orlando Sentinel said Orange County, Fla., sheriff's investigators recovered the cans from Casey Anthony's home Aug. Casey Anthony remained in jail Wednesday after being formally charged with child neglect and lying to police.

Authorities were searching lakes nearby the Anthony home last week, but claim the dives were not related to the Caylee case.

On August 11, the family of missing Caylee reached out to psychic detective Gale St. John, who has appeared on several TV shows and has been hired for other cases, for help. Gale planned to search the streets of Central Florida for a "person signature".

She says, "We will not even look at street names."

"We drive and go completely on feeling instinct, chasing down what we call a person signature."

Also, Casey has been refusing visits from her family, including her parents. Her brother canceled his August 12th visit.

August 18 - 19th: Sacramento bounty hunter Leonard Padilla has arranged for the $500,000 bail for Casey Anthony because he has a "hunch" that Caylee is alive.

Padilla's people pan to work with Casey to get her daughter back and believes it will take him and his team 5 days to find the missing girl. Some believe Padilla's sympathy and bail are part of a publicity stunt.

Fox News, however, is now reporting that Padilla could have bailed Casey out of jail Tuesday if he had filed paperwork by the 9 am deadline - but he failed to do so.

Now it seems the paperwork required for Casey Anthony to leave the jail will not be completed until "dinnertime" Tuesday evening - which means another night in the slammer for missing Caylee's 'mum' mom.

At first I was peeved that this ass was offering to get Casey out of jail. But after thinking about it for awhile, I hope he does, and she continues her diva act in her parents home so they can see she has no intention of trying to help anyone find that child’s body.....they deserve each other.

From another article:
http://www.myfoxutah.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=7240616&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.3.1

Casey and a bounty hunter from Padilla’s team will be staying at Casey’s parent’s house 24/7. Leonard Padilla says he can get information out of Casey about her missing daughter. “Getting out of jail, big thing, very significant. She takes a hot shower, does her hair, paints her nails…starts feeling human again.”

Padilla believes once Casey is comfortable, she will offer up the information. “We’re not asking her the questions. We’re letting her divulge info without her being pressured being put in custody. It’s just a different atmosphere.”

As much as it pains me to say it I believe the little girl is dead and the mother is just stalling. The fact that the longer it takes for a body to be found the harder it is to determine the cause of death may be a factor

Casey’s cornered. She’s been lying to LE, and going home to face Padilla & Co. 24hr/day is going to be no party.

Thanks for the ping!

OMG. It's like some sort of episode of Big Brother From Hell.

Personally, I don't think she'll talk. I think she believes her own lies.

“As much as it pains me to say it I believe the little girl is dead and the mother is just stalling.”

I agree with you. I fear that, as long as the mother denies doing anything to the child, and no body is ever found, the mother will get away with Caylee’s murder.

Yeah, that’s what I think too. Casey has been sheltered from having to talk while in custody. But, at home, her parents are going to be on her all day and night, and she has no friends now who will support her - the boyfriend ran the minute he realized what she was. She can’t leave the house - she would be smart to stay in jail.

To me this is almost open+shut. The airhead party mom did something stupid which resulted in the death of her daughter. It could have been anything from letting her lick a gram of blow off the living room table, resulting in death, while her and some guy boffed in the bedroom, to letting the little girl play with the toaster in the bathtub.

Grandma knows the truth and is is saying “Hey, my daughter screwed up and didn't do it on purpose so there is no reason why I should lose her too”.

I agree. I hope grandma does time too as an accessory after the fact. Grandpa being the wiley ex-cop, is hedging his bets and is skirting complicity.

Go after grandpa big time with the threat of being charged. He will cave to avoid doing cop in the slammer time and then perhaps we can bury this poor little girl.

Well I'm not sure I would want to have grandma do hard time just for protecting a “mistake’ of her daughter. If it was a “Book em Dano” type murder then I would say absolutely.

I think doing her nails is truly really honestly the most important part of Casey’s life and the bounty hunter is reading her correctly. Once her manicure, pedicure and other serious issues are attended to, she might free up her 24 brain cells to think about her daughter.

She won’t remember where she left her, however.

If Casey does get away with this, her life will be like OJ - folks cursing her everywhere she goes and her life will be hell. Have you done a google search on her name? There are hundreds of blogs with people saying “fry her”

I’m sure you’re right. And like fellow narcissist OJ, Casey will love the attention, no matter how negative.

There’s no bad PR, you know. She’ll be famous, FAMOUS. Now that little whatshername is out of the way, Casey won’t have to share the spotlight. What a great result.

Let’s hope the forensics folk find slamdunk evidence.
