Helen is the worst reporter ever. She doesn’t report, she just likes to here herself talk. As if we care more about her idiotic opinions than we do what the President of the United States actually thinks.

I remember seeing her go toe-to-toe with Reagan when I was a kid and thinking "Why is the reporter being so rude?".

I may not like all of the presidents in office, but there is a social decorum. Tough questions can be asked ("So, President Clinton. Care to expound on what was traded to the Chinese for their campaign contributions? And be thorough, please.") but in a polite manner.

The press corps will be better off without her.

Whitewashing Helen Thomas

An image of Tom Sawyer whitewashing a fence flashed into my mind ... And there Helen was, being whitewashed.

Ever since Thomas lost her front row chair in all the WH briefings, MSM has been trying to make it up to her through all the phoney accolades.

Which of the following stories did she break?

I'm pretty sure it was Teapot Dome. Either that, or it was the scandal of Grover Cleveland's love child.

Whitewashing Helen Thomas

Not a bad idea. If she was whitewashed, we wouldn't have to look at her.

The only reason Helen Thomas gets this fawning recognition from the MSM is that she has been a White House reporter since the Teddy Roosevelt administration and is as liberal as they come.

Truth be told, Helen Thomas is not very bright.

I used to work in downtown DC, and one day I ran into her (almost literally -- I amfairly tall and she is very short) in the Au Bon Pain at the food court across the street from my office. She was wandering around, seemingly in a daze. One of the managers went to help her. She wanted to order lunch but hadn't a clue how to do it. The manager must have spent 15 minutes walking her through the menu, ordering her food for her, and then walking her and the food to the checkout register.

I guess if you wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, you could say it was old age. However, I suspect there never was much of anything rattling around in that hideous head.
