Within the last few hours I've spoken with two of the finalists for the role of Barack Obama's running-mate, and to two other sources who are close to the process.
My bottom line is this: Barring a big surprise or last-minute change of heart, the choice is likely to be Sen. Joe Biden of Deleware, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.
He is a lively and feisty if unpredictable campaigner with working-class roots and a street-level feel for the hot spots of the globe which he can use to go toe-to-toe with Sen. John McCain.
"If I had to bet my life on it, I'd bet it is Joe," said one of the other contenders.
Said another, "Barack is moving toward a seasoned Beltway type, and that probably means Biden."

This has got to be misinformation - even Barry O can’t be that dense.

The more I hear of Biden as Hussein’s VP pick, the more convinced it’s not going to be him.
Seems like misdirection to me.

The funny part is that *Obama* still doesnt know who hes going to pick, yet.
The man cant make up his mind about what ice cream he wants, much less VP candidate (the largest decision of his life to date).

Droopy Dog Richardson would have been a better pick.

Biden is very articulate.

Obama bin Biden will not happen. Plugs “dissed” Obummer with the “clean and articulate” comment, and an egomaniac like Hussein-O cannot abide such a slight.

I think Biden is his best and, really, his only choice. Nobama ain't got no gravitas and it is painfully obvious in foreign affairs where, with the unstinting help of the mainstream media, Biden can claim some.
But to some degree it also means it Obama is playing defense because it means that his vice presidential pick gives them no geographical boost.
