Roseanne has slammed Angelina Jolie, her partner Brad Pitt, and her father, Jon Voight in a new post on her personal web site.
Calling Jolie, Voight’s “evil spawn,” and Pitt, “vacuous,” Roseanne’s attack seems to be directed at the actress and her family members over their opinions regarding presidential hopeful, Senator Barack Obama.
Roseanne’s post seems to start out as a response to an OP-ED piece Voight wrote for the Washington Times in July, against Obama.
“God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way,” Voight wrote.
Roseanne lashed out at Voight’s opinion calling him a “frightened little girl in a pink ballet tutu, who acts like Obama just wandered in from the rain forest with a bone [through] his nose and a communist pamphlet in his loincloth,” she blogged.
Last week, Jolie released a statement noting that she had not yet chosen to endorse either Obama or John McCain, but reports suggested following her February trip to Iraq that she sided with McCain.
“I am waiting to see the commitments they will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world,” she said.
“Miss Jolie says she likes McCain too and hasn’t decided who to endorse… huh?” Roseanne blogged. “Aren’t you supposed to be somewhat enlightened, or do you not know that the African daughter you hold in every picture had parents who suffered and died because of the Republican party’s worldwide economic assault on Africa over the last few decades since Reagan

Exactly what i was thinking. Voight’s comments could not have been construed as racist through any strecth of the imagination. The fact that Roseanne pulled such things of of the ether is very telling about her true feelings. The fact that the left wants very badly to brand anyone who is not salivating over Obama as a racist is no secret, but they usually try to spin something the person actually said instead of fabricating the accusation out of wholecloth.

There is nothing enlightening about joining the collective and giving up your liberty. Government dear Rosanne is not an expression of faith and enlightenment and all or even most goodwill does not issue forth from the hands of bureaucrats.
The left offers a myopic viewpoint, they have even opposed minute clinics because it might interfere with their plans to nationalize health care. When did protecting the interests of bureaucracy become a part of enlightenment? Give me liberty or give me a check? Is that the battle call that was heard at the founding of this nation? I think Rosanne should spend some time enlightening herself.
Angelina Jolie Pitt, no matter who she votes for, has been doing remarkable work and not with just government or UN money. She has spent her time and money not just as a charitable person but as a representative of someone who does not just write a check to assuage their guilt for having acquired wealth. Enlightenment requires substance and substance requires doing. It seems that she who is best known for telling jokes has demonstrated that she is not much more than one.
Roseanne is, to me, about the most execrable example of what the looney Hollywood left is.
