The Obama Campaign admitted yesterday that Barack Obama did vote against a bill as an Illinois State Senator that would have required babies born alive after attempted abortions be given life-saving care. As recently as Saturday, Obama had indignantly denied (see video) that he had or would ever have voted against such a bill. He claimed the bill he voted against was not identical to Federal Legislation he said "everyone" would support. Turns out, his campaign now admits he did vote against "identical legislation" on the Illinois state level:
His campaign yesterday acknowledged that he had voted against an identical bill in the state Senate, and a spokesman, Hari Sevugan, said the senator and other lawmakers had concerns that even as worded, the legislation could have undermined existing Illinois abortion law. Those concerns did not exist for the federal bill, because there is no federal abortion law.Indeed, Mr. Obama appeared to misstate his position in the CBN interview on Saturday when he said the federal version he supported "was not the bill that was presented at the state level."
In other words - Obama has been lying all these years about voting to keep infanticide in Illinois legal. He feigned indignation when asked about it two days ago, and now is having to admit he helped keep the heinous practice of allowing babies to die for lack of care just to protect the altar of Abortion on Demand. And this is the man who wants us to trust him to confront evil in our world.
Barack Obama is a compulsive liar.
Man, poor guy is bombing out so much lately, have to start calling him oBOMBa.
The truth is out there. The Knights of Columbus and Priests For Life have been all over this.
almost makes Hillary and her sniper fire seem kinda tame - although the Obama campaign crucified her for that one during the primaries.
The worst part of it is that through his own lens, it’s everyone else who is lying ... just for exposing the truth! Would be nice to have a team of psychiatrists to study him to determine the myriad of diagnoses we’re dealing with here. :O)
Telling the truth about a leftist or about leftist policies is
HATE SPEECH.
“...mis-state his position...”
That’s “Politician” for: I lied my a$$ off!!”
Too bad the media won’t report his.
The infanticide issue ad the story form the case in Illinois need to be kept front and center in this campaign. Not just because it’s a winning political issue, but because support for these types of practices are the epitome of evil.
Does anyone have a good, succinct, sorced summary of Obama supporting infanticide?
I asked an Obama supporter whether she supported letting born babies die like Obama does/did, and she just refused to believe my assertion.
(Though she did say that that would be murder and infanticide by neglect. Perhaps an inkling of a conscience in a pro-abort.)
And the Obamanation had the audacity in the debate to quote the biblical verse about Christ’s statement that whatsoever you do to the least of His people you do to Him? Wow. Somehow I don’t think he understands or believes what that verse means.
If he doesn't than someone else has to.
I know my parish priest implores us every week that when November comes we must remember we are a people of life.
I have had private conversations with him and he is scared to death for our nation that Obama might win.
From what I have read in other articles at this fine web-site (and others), Mr. Obama not only “voted against” the bill, he used his position as chairman of a senate committee to KILL it at the committee level in the Illinois state senate, and prevent it from even coming to a full vote.
That’s a WHOLE LOT more than just “voting against it”. That was ACTIVE participation in destroying any chance the bill had of passing, which means he must have had very strongly held beliefs about the issue...
If I am not mistaken Obama was the only state senator to stand up on the senate floor and speak out against the bill

Obama and Hillary and most Dems fail miserably on this matter.
