SAN ANGELO, Texas Child welfare authorities have decided court supervision is no longer needed for 34 more children taken in the raid on the Fundamentalist LDS Church's YFZ Ranch.
Texas Child Protective Services filed papers here Thursday seeking to "non-suit" 10 cases involving 34 children, said agency spokesman Patrick Crimmins. That is in addition to 32 children non-suited earlier this month.

But the witch hunt continues . . .
I do not have a ping list but thought you might be interested. What with so many FReepers having voiced their praise for the raid and round-up of the innocent, I am pleased that at least a few could see the danger posed to all of our Constitutional rights.
64 innconts sent to the camps, because the state was afriad they might be exposed to unpopular ideas, according to the state’s own court admissions.
What?
innocents - sorry.
I meant, the state has “non-suited” cases involving 64 children, thus far. IOW, they have admitted that their inital action (siezing the children) was unfounded.
So you were in favor of the raid and round-up, right?
Oh, sorry, I get it. Thanks.
Where in heaven did you get that idea?
Thanks for the ping. Do you think the State will ever apologize for ripping the children from their parents arms in the first place?
Not unless they are forced to and I have hope that their attorney Parker has the wherewithal to do just that.
Apologize? Honestly? The ones that are actually responsible for all this would probably never do that as they could not be convinced of the magnitude of their violation of the parents and kids rights.
I would prefer (and I say this as a Texas resident) that they slap a lawsuit on them that will make the truly responsible parties go weak in the knees.
I am thinking the totals should result in the hundreds of millions.
Takes a lot of time to correct just a few days of government overreach
I am happy the gov is now doing what it should of done in the first place looked into the problems one at a time although i fear there is so many bad feelings on both sides that a fair trial will be very hard
We Texans would prefer that polygamy colonies stay in Utah and Arizona.
My predictions is that the 5 FLDS polygamists recently indicted by the State will be convicted
This kind of idiocy will never stop until over zealous public servants are held accountable for their rabid disregard for the law and constitutionally guaranteed rights.
And I don’t mean two weeks or so off with pay which is what we see happen all too often.
All of you apologists should realize that polygamy is a very sick culture that always devolves into brutality, i.e. beating women to keep them in check and singling out young boys to abandon. They have intermarried so much that serious genetic problems are resulting.
Much like those who follow the religion of peace.
This article indicates the CPS criminals in texas have still not returned all children to their parents.
“Parents” is a pretty squishy term in the FLDS.
“What with so many FReepers having voiced their praise for the raid and round-up of the innocent, I am pleased that at least a few could see the danger posed to all of our Constitutional rights.”
Religious bias trumps constitutional rights in this case unfortunately.
Especially since some of them couldn’t, or wouldn’t, identify their ‘children’ during the ‘raid’.
