FYI. My latest regarding the conflict in Georgia.
Thanks very much, Jeff. Read-when-I-get-home-from-work BUMP!
Thanks Jeff. This will be very helpful to folks. I know I did a lot of searching when this first broke to be clear about what was going on. We don’t all have the time for the type of research we sometimes need to get a clear picture.
Thanks!
Nice job on your website and thanks for taking the lead on this.
Good job. Thanks.
Thanks for your work Jeff. I don’t know what we’d do without you!
WOW! Another Freeper Classic! You have outdone yourself.
Great and oh so professional!

BTW, what are your opinions of US vulnerability to the kind of cyber attack Georgia suffered at the hands of Russia ?
From what I understand, we have no military in Georgia -- Gates made it clear that supplies would be distributed by aid organizations. Europe, and Germany in particular, is overwhelmingly dependent on Russia's gas pipe line from the Balkans, and NATO's announcement that it will admit Georgia is not much more than an empty gesture, since the Euros haven't the will, or military, to defend themselves or any other member. And our illustrious State Dept. is still whining about how we need Russia as a negotiator with Iran...nothing like trusting the wolf to represent the lambs.
We have not yet used our greatest weapon...Wall St. It is time to let the Rooskies know who holds all the cards in this poker game. It is time to get every American bank, mutual fund, insurance company, foundation and every other institution to start selling every Russian stock that we own. Choke the Rooskies in billions of overnight losses and convince the Europeans to do the same. Let the Rooskies know that if you want to be a bully, there is not a single place on earth outside of Russia to park your rubles!
Western Europe, of course, is mostly going to sit on its ass due to its dependency on Soviet —er, Russian natural gas. If they do anything major to help Georgia, it could be a long, cold winter for them.
Thank you Jeff this is a good idea.
WOW! OUTSTANDING!
Following the public statements of representatives of countries is a glimpse into the importance of words, definitions and diplomacy. The marketplace of ideas from minds representing millions.
Fascinating.
Fabulous work, Jeff Head.
Thanks
